PostFix + DB

I attempting to install PostFix onto my Debian 3.0r_2 box. However, when I attempt to "make" it gives me an error saving that I need db*-dev. I assume this is referring to Berkeley Database Development Environment (the latest version I can find it version 4). However, I am having some trouble find the tar files to install it from... when I Google it, I just find a bunch of RPM's. Where can I find install files?

(I have a .deb file of the program, however I cannot figure out how to install a .deb file from my own hard drive, any suggestions?)
