redhat 7.3 multi-home setup
Hello folks, I have a new linux setup to do and if someone has interesting or unusual insight into this scenario, I would like to hear from you.
On Tuesday I'm getting a new machine with two network cards and a RAID HD mirror. I am going to set up RH 7.3 on it in order to host several web domains. I plan to do the following:
1. do the RH 7.3 setup for a Server installation from the bootable CDROM.
- hope that the RAID controller will function without needing special drivers or a special kernel
2.Hopefully the setup will let me designate one eth as the internet ip address and the other eth as the internal ip address. (the routing should allow local and public addressing)
3. set up webmin and virtmin to help with remote admin functionality
4. set up vhosts config for apache using virtmin
I won't have it live connected to the internet until Jan 1st but in the meantime I should have access to it via the local interface.
Any pitfalls you can think of, please mention them, or let me knmow where I can research this setup further.
