Postfix help needed
OK...
Last night, got home and found my mail server was not responding. Went out and it was unresponsive at the console. Power cycled the machine and it failed to post. I swapped out the memory, video card and even the CPU (was planning an upgrade anyway). Still not booting.
I was using Sendmail as my server. It looks as if I have to rebuild from scratch. Going to go to Postfix, was planning to do that anyway, just was going to run a test server on one of my other domains first. However, it is "bite the bullet" time.
I tried to put my desktop system in as my MX record and am trying to configure Postfix here as a stop gap against bounces. I can send through it, but it will not receive. I know that whatever the problem, I am going to have the same issue with the newly built server.
So, any ideas?
My im info is in my profile. I will make a point of checking the thread as I will obviously be getting no mail notifications of responses.
TIA
