kernel advice
It was made clear in my last post that I should probably update my kernel (2.4.18bf24 on sid) to something more recent. As I've never (successfully) compiled a kernel, my question to you guys is: which one?
This is for your average home PC so I dont necessarily need latest-and-greatest but I'd like something that would last me a while without the need to do it all over again. So, what suggestions do you have for kernel of choice?
