Sigh.. I'm so tired.. I installed SuSE 9.1 today. Went fine, then I switched the monitor. Then all hell broke loose it seems. Installed it again, just went through everything, and when it booted, it just sits at the logon.. like on the start up screen where it shows all the stuff loading. Everything loads fine, but it won't boot to the GUI.. Just says:
Welcome to SuSE 9.1 ... ect..
linux logon:
I can long in as root.. but I have no idea how to get it to start into the GUI.. Why doesn't it just boot to that? I told it to in the set up..
It also just let me logon as my user which is scruffy then it shows this:
scruffy@linux:~>
With the cursor flashing.. any way I can just get it to boot into the GUI of the system.. ?
