Maybe you could help...
I'm really new to linux and I've recently run into a problem. Hopefully somebody can help.
First of all, I'm using Fedora Core with GNOME desktop. Okay.
I've recently been trying to make my desktop environment look however I want, playing around with all the settings (very basically), and just familiarizing myself with everything. Yesterday I decided I was going to try and put my panel on the top of my screen rather than on the bottom and change around the icons and the splash screen, the works.
My one problem is that now when I minimize any screen it goes nowhere. Sure I can get it back when I alt+tab, but that's just a pain. I want it to go in the panel... that's what it's for. I even tried moving the panel back to the bottom, didn't work. Rebooted, nothing works. Any window that is minimized goes into the great abyss off my screen.
It's probably a bug, but has anyone had any similar instances? How should I go about fixing this? Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated.
