Figured I'd give it a shot asking here before I did the old web search...
Anyone know anything about free, software-only RAID'ing on linux? I'm pretty sure at least some distros come with some sort of tools to create RAID volumes.
I ask because I'd like to mirror the disks in my linux boxes. HD's are pretty cheap, less than $100, and my time and effort is worth more to me than the cost of the HD's. :) I may get a tape drive at some point, but mirroring is a nice easy way to get that extra protection and remove some downtime.
So... anyone?
