Well, me with the problems again...
Anyway, after too many complaints, I was told to upgrade to at least Red Hat 7.1 (I'm using rh 7.2 currently), which I did, but now I have a few different problems that I never had before. One of the problems I'm having, which seems the most obvious, is the fact that my system detects my CDROM and Floppy, but will only automount the floppy. It gives me an error like "invalid block device: /mnt/cdrom".
I can't use my CD drive once the system fully loads. . .but it will work when it needs to under /tmp/. . . this I was told was due to a problem with automount.
I was told that there is a .misc file that I just need to change a couple comments on, but the problem that I have with doing that, is that I don't have the faintest idea of how to go about doing so, what file they were talking about (including the path to the file) and what exactly to add/change in the file.
If any of you know what problem I'm having, and are familiar with the best solution, PLEASE help me.
