Screen Resolution Too Wide...
Hello, i have an odd problem here, i have tried getting help from numerous people and have sold my soul to google for the answer, still i have not found the answer. My screen resolution makes everything look to wide. i've tried all different resolutions and the ones that do work (1440x900 and 1600x1200) make everything displayed look to scale but when i choose those resolutions there are two big black bars on each side of my screen that are not used then.
My laptop LCD has a 16:10 display ratio, that's a wider display. It's a 15" monitor. i'm running FC3 and have played with the xorg.conf file, played around a lot with the 'display client' and even installed NVIDIA Drivers on my own. Still after that everything is still wide. i have run out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions... even if you think i've done it already suggest it. Maybe i've done something wrong in my attempts.
