Active Directory
I haven't used Linux a great deal... I've used basic functions, but I've never set it up as a server. I have moderate knowledge of how a Windows-based domain functions, but my knowledge of how Linux performs such tasks is at best very limited.
• Does Linux have software that performs the equivalent function of Active Directory in a Windows-based domain?
• Is there a way to add a Linux machine to a Windows-based Active Directory domain, or a Windows machine to a Linux-based Active Directory domain (if such a thing exists).
• What software is required for either of these tasks, and where can I obtain it? How hard is it to setup/use?
Any help would be appreciated.
