Apache and PHP

 I am trying to write PHP enabled web pages on SUSE 10.2's LAMP server. I have enabled the Apache and mySQL servers, and I attempted to write a brief Hello World PHP file, and it won't pull it up properly in Firefox. Does anyone know how to get the LAMP server working, and where I need to store the files?
