I recently installed a nvidia gforce FX graphics card.
The primary goal was to have a TV out.
I got the board intalled, go the Nvidia driver installed. It works perfectly well with the computer monitor, and when I hook the TV up to the S-video out, I get a video signal to both the TV and the monitor during Suse 8.2's logon window, and the init script, but as soon as the X session starts, I loose the signal to the TV. Now if I shut down the computer, unplug the monitor from the board, and boot directly from the TV, the process works perfectly.
My first inclination was that I had a 'multi head' issue, and went searching with YAST to configure the multihead, but YAST doesn't recognize that there are two monitors...
Is there a way to manhandle the X config files to force it to recognize a multihead session? Is that the problem? I'm truly at a loss.
System:
Dual 800Mhz PIII
Suse 8.2
clearly a Nvidia gforce FX 5200 graphics card.
