Hello I am a Microsoft SLAVE imprisoned by Windows 2K OS on a Dell 420 Workstation http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/ws420/en/ug/intro.htm
I have a 10Krpm SCSI 50gig drive, 1 667 P3 with rome to add another, 640 meg ram cd player and a Panasonic A06 DVDR+/-.
I want to upgrade to dual processors.
I have heard that the computer I am using
I want to be FREE. I want to be a Penguin user.
Help me Linux my machine.
BTW I own a martial arts school
My concerns are;
cost,
Compatablity with MicroSoft Word, Xcell, Power Point, Publisher documents
I want a web cam that is motion activated so that when I am not at the school I can look in and see who is there and it will alert me to someone being there.
I have DSL (128 up and 512 to 1500 down). This I want to use to offer wireless Internet to the parents of my students so they can use thier laptops at the school. I will need to keep the schools computers seperate from the open wireless network.
I would like to record DVD's and CD's
The use of fire wire would be nice
I am sure that there is more, I just do not know what it is.
