Turkey day

We spent Thanksgiving in Yucaipa with good friends.  The day was filled with good food, a fun new game called "Liebrary" where you make up the first line to a book, and general relaxing.

We went to the cloudy pier on Friday and the kids rode on a ride for the first time by themselves.  This is the middle of the ride when both starting crying a little...

My kids love to play on these things at the mall and they have such great imaginations that I don't have to put quarters in;-)

Halloween and finger foods

We had a great Halloween.  We went to a friend's house for dinner and then went to about 10 houses before the kids were done.  They ate three pieces of candy that night and when they had woken up the next morning, they didn't mention the candy at all.  Score...so I didn't have to deal with sugar highs all weekend;-)

I also wanted to update Lincoln's status.  He is only 5th percentile for his weight and even though I am not worried, I have been trying to feed him solids for months now.  At first, he was not interested AT ALL.  I kept trying, but he was not a fan of the spoon, a bottle, or a sippy cup.  At his 8 month appointment, the doctor told me that some kids skip baby food altogether and that I should start giving him finger foods.  Well, the next day I started with some single grain puffs and Lincoln did great with them.  Over the last few weeks, he has really started to eat food and it has been kind of exciting.  He loves whole wheat toast, waffles, snap peas, and oat cereal.  He has even started eating a little from a spoon.  Finally success!

Candy from trunks

We've been enjoying the Halloween season.  Well, the kid part of Halloween.  I am not a huge fan of the adult side (scary movies, skimpy costumes, etc.).  The kids are having a blast though wearing their costumes around the house and to different events.

Last night's Trunk or Treat.  It was my first one and I liked the idea of it.  But it was almost too easy- the kids had buckets full of candy in 15 minutes.  I had to WORK for my candy growing up;-)

Good ole D-land

We have been wanting to take the kids to Disneyland for awhile and so we took advantage of visiting grandparents and went on Friday.  The kids had a blast and it was a great day.

Dumbo- Cory went with Ethan because I knew he would want to go up and down and that would make me sick (I have turned into such a ride wussie since having kids because I get motion sickness so much easier)

Space Shuttle Endeavor

The Endeavor is going to be part of an exhibit at the California Science Center and so yesterday it began it's two-day, 12 mile journey from the airport.  They have had to move power lines and cut down trees so that it will fit along the streets.  Last night we ventured out to one of the viewing spots.  Ethan was very excited because he thought he could go inside.  We told him that we couldn't do that, so he said that someday, he will fly inside a space shuttle.  Maybe I have a little astronaut;-)

On a walk the other day, the kids were playing with their shadows and Ethan asked Annalisa to tie his shadow back on.  Love their imaginations!
