Charlie Eugene Moyers

Charlie Eugene Moyers made his presence on Friday August 23, 2013! A little less than 2 weeks early!! He weighed in just shy of 8 pounds...7 pounds 15 ounces! Here's the birth story!!
My whole pregnancy I just knew I HAD to have this baby on a weekend, sometime thursday - sunday because my friend Whitney is a labor and delivery nurse and I wanted NEEDED her to be my nurse. Well Thursday night at about 8pm I had just put LJ down for bed and I was about to head out the door to go to Target. Well, I decided to use the restroom before I went and noticed I had a little "leak" in my underwear. I didn't say anything to anyone and just told them I had changed my mind and was going to stay home. I sat around for an hour and nothing had happened so I got up and went into the laundry room to put away some clothes because I had done laundry that day. Well, while I was folding laundry I felt myself get wet, not extremely wet, but enough to change my pants. I felt so silly, it felt like I had just pee'd myself. I told Logan what happened and I couldn't decide what to do! I wasn't having any contractions so I felt silly going to the hospital! Well, we waited until about 10:30 when I was standing in the kitchen and there was a larger gush of liquid and by then I was pretty sure my water had broken so I hurried and packed up some things and we headed to the hospital. My mom stayed home with LJ so he could sleep. We were admitted in triage and they confirmed I had in fact broken my water and we were going to have a baby!
I got into a room by 11:30pm and they started me on some antibiotics. I had to have 2 rounds, 4 hours apart, before they could start pitocin to help me dilate because I tested positive for group B strep. Well, 5am rolls around and I was finally started on some pitocin. Thankfully, Whitney was working Friday and she came in at 7am and got permission to be my nurse all day and she was able to focus all her energy on helping me! She was seriously the BEST all day!! I couldn't have planned a more peaceful and calm delivery. She made it so nice and easy and fun.
Well, I figured since my water broke, that things would happen fast. I was so sure he would come by 10am. But 10 am rolled around and I was still only at a 4. 11am and still only a 5. Whitney decided to check me again and realized that somehow, my water had broken from the top instead of from the bottom like most women. Somehow, Charlie's head managed to create a suction which didn't allow the bottom of my water to completely rupture and we couldn't tell until the floor sack had gotten low enough to tell. So Whitney called Dr. H and he came around 11:30 and broke the rest of my water. By then I was dilated to a 6. At 12, Whitney needed to take a lunch break and so she jokingly said to me "Don't have the baby while i'm gone!" Well, I already had my epidural but I was able to feel all the pressure and move my legs a little still and at 12:15 I really felt like, man I need to push. So I shot Whitney a text telling her how much I wanted to push. She came back from lunch around 12:30 and checked me and basically gasped. She said the only thing holding Charlie's head in was the bulb from my catheter. She checked me, I was fully dilated and his head was almost out. She told me to cross my legs and roll on my side and she was going to call Dr. H. Well, It took him almost 25 minutes to show up, all the while I was gripping the bed with all my might through every contraction trying not to push. He came, started setting up his tools and Whitney was helping me get ready to push and telling me to stop laughing because Charlie was literally about to fall out. Well, 3 pushes later, I delivered a healthy baby boy with a full head of thick dark black hair. He is literally PERFECT! He is so handsome and has big beautiful eyes and lips and is covered in hair.

Charlie has been the best baby! He sleeps a lot and is happy when he's awake. He eats really good and is so cuddly. I just cant get enough of my handsome little boy. LJ is just in love with him and wants to hold him any chance he can get. Logan is the best daddy and helps me anytime I need it. I didn't change a single diaper for I think the first 5 days of Charlie's life. Thanks honey! We are all so happy and healthy and enjoying our family of 4!!

33 weeks!!

Well, I'm 33 weeks along now in this pregnancy!! I can't believe in 7 weeks or less, we will have another beautiful boy join our family! Time is flying by! It's amazing to me, how different pregnancies are. This one has been so much harder....maybe because i'm older? (Not old!) I don't know but this little guy has sure done a number to me! for the past week and a half, he has been crushing my sciatic nerve... to the point where I have to hold onto the wall as I walk. It can be excruciating pain at times! I feel like i'm constantly icing my butt cheek or asking logan to rub my leg or taking tylenol, which doesn't help, or stretching. I sure hope that it goes away soon or that it goes away when this little guy comes out! Lately it's also been hard to wear my contacts longer than a few hours at a time. The past couple days, i've been opting for glasses, which is so hard in this heat when I'm sweating them off my face all day! Besides all the new, not fun changes, I am still loving pregnancy. I've been slowly getting things out and ready for this little guy. I washed all of his clothes...a little early... I just wanted them hanging in the closet already! I've got the crib ready and I picked up an almost new swing for cheap! I found the matching changing table to my crib for $10! I was beyond thrilled! I'm lucky to have family who are also so willing to give me things they don't use anymore! My sweet neighbor even offered to throw me a diaper shower! I am feeling extra blessed these days! We still aren't 100% on a name, but we are pretty sure we know what it will be! Can't wait to meet this little guy! LJ talks about him all the time too!

New Jobs!

I've been pretty behind on blogging lately. Lets see what's been going on with our family.
In June, Logan and I decided that the door to door sales thing wasn't working for us anymore. We were spending more than we were making and it was really stressing us out with a new baby on the way and the bills racking up! Luckily, it didn't take all of 2 weeks for Logan to find a new AMAZING job! He works for a large rental property company, as a maintenance manager. He contacts contractors to fix things in the rental homes when they break. He comes home so happy from work and tells me how much he actually enjoys going to work! It makes me so happy to hear that my husband actually likes his job!! It's been a real good thing for us! They offer us full benefits and everything! Something we haven't had in quite a while, and I might actually get some much needed dental work done without cringing at the bill!! We are hoping to save really hard for the rest of this year and start looking for our first home in 2014! Thats the goal! It has really been such a blessing being able to live in my mom's home for the past couple years. We haven't had to worry about the stress of paying a mortgage or rent or anything associated with those things. It's been real wonderful to have our struggles of jobs and no jobs and still manage to keep our sanity! Thank you mom for loving us even when we are a pain in the butt!! We have really appreciated having someone there to help us when we can't help ourselves.

Baby #2

This pregnancy has been so different than the first! I was nauseous the first trimester and still get a little nauseated in the evenings. I wasn't as tired like I was in the first trimester but I am really tired this time around in the second. I felt this little one move way early. It was few and far between but it was absolutely movement. Now that I am 22 weeks, I feel this baby kick all the time! We found out we are having another BOY! I am so thrilled!! All boys need brothers and I am so happy its happening now!! We were having a hard time choosing a name. We were kind of stuck between two different ones but then I thought of a totally different name and am in LOVE! I'm not sure how Logan feels, he doesn't really say much about it, but I think if he hated it, he would be loud about me calling the baby by this name. Even LJ calls the baby by this new name and gives my belly kisses. Its really sweet! I can not wait to meet this little guy!!

Wild Animal Safari

Logan and I heard about this awesome place called the Wild Animal Safari! I have always wanted to do a drive-thru zoo type thing and so I was super excited!! It was totally worth every penny!! The animals literally walk right up to your car, no fear, and stick their head in your window and will not leave until you feed them. It was really such a cool experience. I was so scared of the ostrich and the emus. Big birds like that just freak me out, its probably because i've seen so many videos of them biting people!! So I made sure to roll up my windows around them. I for sure thought LJ would be scared but he had so much fun feeding the animals!! He loved every second of it! I would go back every day if I could!! There was this massive camel that would NOT leave us alone. It ran along side our car and even started to bite our side view mirror because it wanted us to feed it more! It was hilarious!!

Branson, Missouri

Last night we made a trip into Branson, MO so we could go to THE PRICE IS RIGHT live stage show!! One of my friends is one of the models and so that's how I heard about it! It's not televised but it is so much fun and almost exactly the same except there are way more winners!! LJ seriously loved the whole thing. As soon as we walked into the theatre, he was the happiest and most hyper kid. He was running and jumping and dancing and just so entertaining! I was a little worried because the show didn't start until 8 but the hour didn't bother him one bit! He had a blast! We all got our name stickers and sat in our seats and prayed our names got called. They didn't.  But that didn't make the trip any less fun! LJ clapped and yelled the entire show! It was worth it all, just to see how excited he was!! After the show was over, they let people on stage to spin the wheel for $10 each but my friend put us on a list so we got to do it for free! LJ cried when we had to go. We watch Price Is Right every day and he knew exactly what the wheel was!! If anyone gets the chance to go, I'd highly recommend it and bring your kids! It was so fun!!

I had to add both of these pictures because in one Logans eyes are closed and in the other mine are closed. HaHa! So if anyone wants to edit them and make so both our eyes are open, I wouldn't hate it!!

Since The Price is Right didn't start until late, we headed into Branson a little early to check out the town a little before we went. All the attractions were around $20 a person or more, so we had to choose just one. We ended up picking Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum because we thought it would be the best for LJ. I really wanted to see the Titanic one, but I knew LJ would have been terrible there. Anyways, It was....ok. Mostly just weird collections people donated them. Don't waste your money if you go to Branson.
