Thanksgiving

We were fortunate enough to have both of our families join us for Thanksgiving this year. Logan had a lot of fun with Grammy and Grandpa Cox as well as Grandpa Jim, Grandma Vicki, and Uncle Geoffy.
We also celebrated Christmas with the Dietz family, and Logan had a great time opening all of his presents. The day that everyone left, Logan took a 4 hour nap, I think all of the fun wore him out!
Here are some of the pictures from our fun holiday.

Learning

It seems that as soon as Logan hit one year, he just took off. He is now walking everywhere and can say Mama and Dada. He also has learned how to stack blocks, open drawers, clap for himself, and many other "normal developmental milestones". And while those are all very fun, there have been many times that Logan has learned something that we wish that he hadn't.

Here are some examples.

1. he can tip over the trashcan

2. he can pull all of the wipes out of the box in about 45 seconds
Image

3. he can also get onto his bike by himself and then make the "vrmmm vrmmmm" sound until you push him
Image

4. he can close the door to a room so that you won't lock him out of it

5. and he has learned to take all of his clothes out of his drawers

There are many more fun "lessons" that Logan has learned, I will post more later.

Happy First Birthday!

It is official! My little boy is one year old, hard to believe it!!!
For his first birthday, Logan went to visit Grammy and Grandpa Cox in Myrtle Beach. He was kind enough to let Mommy and Daddy tag along. He got lots of fun presents with a few of the highlights being a baseball game, a soccer net, and some blocks. I don't have pictures from this event - our camera battery died, Brad's phone was not working, and mine was getting repaired. Therefore, we have to get the pictures from Grammy before we can show them to you...but I hope to do that sometime soon.

On Logan's actual birthday we drove back to Tallahassee. We opened up all of his presents that were waiting on our front step this afternoon after Daddy got home. Logan was thrilled to get a music table, golf caddy bag, his first book of words, and a new umbrella stroller that he can roll all around the house.

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful gifts, cards, and kind thoughts. We wish everyone could be here to celebrate with us!

Move

Hello Everyone! It has been such a long time since I blogged, and I am sorry for that - but today will be a short blog also. Essentially, we have moved to Tallahassee, yeah! but we are still surrounded by boxes and wrappings and furniture, and other stuff that needs to be put away. Thank God that my Mom comes tomorrow to help, because I don't think that I could get this done myself. Logan is "helping" by pulling everything out of the boxes, and then I have to go and find where he threw it or what piece of furniture he stuck it under. I also spend a lot of time making sure that he isn't chewing on cords or opening cabinets. Yes, he is now fully mobile, and making the best of it. I always knew that he would be trouble once he started crawling, and he has not proved me wrong. Instead, he gets into EVERYTHING, and the little bugger is FAST! hard to believe that he is almost a year old!

Well, for now I will post a couple of pictures and then get back to cleaning. I promise to post more later when life settles down a little bit.

Logan "crawls"

At Grandma and Grandpa's house on Saturday, Logan was crawling. It was his own unique way, perhaps, but he was moving forward.

Then, on Sunday, back at our townhouse, Logan really crawled for Grammy and Grandpa Cox.
