Happy Birthday Jasmine of Noxine Stamps

It's my lovely friend Jasmine's birthday today. She's the creator of Noxine Stamps so I just had to create her a card using one of her own digis. We've entered the first really cold snap of winter here in the UK so I decided to colour Autumn Dance Aviva in a winter colour theme. I know she's meant to be autumnal, but those leaves sort of reminded me of falling snow or ice.

Image

The light is bad in here today so the photos look a little washed out. I did stick to far lighter colours than I normally use though.

I used the sparkles technique that Zoe of Make it Crafty uses to give her dress some sparkle.

Image

Happy Birthday Jasmine. I really hope you like her.

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 cheeks
Wings - B0000, B000, B00, B01
Dress - B000, B00, B01, B02, B05
Sakura Tiara turquoise, Sakura Stardust, Sakura White Glaze

Princess Aviva from Noxine Stamps

I've used the beautiful Princess Aviva from Noxine Stamps and cropped her to make her the focus of the card

Image

The sentiment was a freebie from Create with TLC. I think the sentiment is so true and something we all need to live by.

Here's a close up of  Princess Aviva. Look at all those gorgeous folds!

Image

It's difficult to see on camera but I added Wink of Stella to her dress so it's like a beautiful shimmery evening dress.

Image

I really hope you like her and would love to see what you create with Princess Aviva very soon x

Autumn Dance Aviva from Noxine Stamps

Hi Everyone - it's Lucy here and I'm very excited to have been asked to be GDT for Noxine Stamps for the month of October! I've been crafty friends with Jasmine for a while now & love that she's started creating her own stamps - especially as they've turned out so beautifully.

It's definitely turned cooler here in the UK and there's a feel of autumn in the air so for my first creation I used Autumn Dance Aviva. I think she's so beautiful and I had lots of fun playing with the autumnal colours.

Image

Here's a close up of Autumn Dance Aviva. I tried to colour her dress to represent the changing colours of the autumn leaves. It took a few attempts, but I think I got it close in the end.

Image

I added some shimmer to her wings with Wink of Stella and Sakura Stardust pens.

Image

Here's a close up of the swirling leaves. The sentiment was a freebie from Create with TLC.

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks

KennyK's Halloween Release - Book of Spells

I love love love the new Halloween Release from KennyK Stamps! I mean seriously love them!
I love all of the new release, but Book of Spells just called to me. She reminds me of The Worst Witch series of books by Jill Murray - a series I loved when I was a kid.

I wanted to give Book of Spells a magical look so tried the background technique Zoe from Make it Crafty showed in her Periscope Video on the 10th September. If you've not signed up to follow her on Periscope do - she's so inspiring!

Image

Here's Book of Spells close up.

Image

.... and here's a close up of the sparkly swirl effect as taught by Zoe. I need to work on it to make it clearer, but I'm really happy with it as a first attempt. It's such a magical effect.

Thank you Saturated Canary for an amazing gift

Well here we go - my final Saturated Canary creation to share while the store is still open. It closes on the 15th September which is coming up very very quickly. Don't leave it too late to buy any digis you want as once it's gone it's gone. There's an amazing subscription offer for new digis over the next year, but the ones in the store will be gone for good.

I've got a wonderful collection of Saturated Canary digis and will continue to use and love them for many many years. I wanted to make a special card as a thank you for Krista for all the joy and pleasure you've bought to me and many people through your digi creations. I wish you and your family a wonderful future in your new adventure.

Once you close the store I think you can officially say 'Mischief Managed'!

Image

I made this card using Potterhead
Here's her close up.

Image

A touch of Glossy Accents on her glasses and the snitches (hmm what's the plural of 'snitch') and some Wink of Stella on her spell book adds to the magic.

Image

I used several layers of Sakura Glaze pen on the sentiment that I printed.

Image

I have a few last minute digis I want to buy. If you do too make sure you don't leave it too late - the Saturated Canary Store closes on the 15th September - that's only a few days away.

Krista saying Thank you doesn't seem like enough  - but that's all I can think of to say, and Lou thank you for being such an amazing admin xxx

Birthday Candles with Saturated Canary

Have you all stocked up on your Saturated Canary digis? If not don't leave it too long - Krista is closing the store on the 31st August and after that we won't be able to buy any more digis. She does have an amazing Subscription offer available for either 6 or 12 months so make sure you pop over to the Saturated Canary Facebook Group to find out the information (and there's also a discount code for your last minute shopping in the store).

I made a quick birthday card full of sparkle with Candle Fairy from Saturated Canary.

Image

Now I made her as a birthday card, but my lovely friend Laura fell in love with her - so she's off to live with her - nowhere near her birthday :P As long as she brings a smile that's all that matters.

I added loads and loads of Sakura Stardust Gel Pen and Wink of Stella shimmer to give her plenty of fairy sparkle.

Image

Even the candle flame shimmers!

Image

I really hope you like her (and Laura does when she arrives).

Copics Used:

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - B12, BG05, B18
Dress & Wings - RV11, RV34, RV17
Tights - a bit of an experiment and mixture of all sorts :p

A Huge Make it Crafty Thank You

Well this card has finally made it to Australia so I can share it. I think it took the scenic route - the Royal Mail estimate was 5-7 days ..... a month later .... well it made it to Zoe which is the important thing. Better late than never eh?

It's a bit scary making a card for the 'Boss' and I wanted it to be as good as I could make it. I love how Carlie with Flowers looks cropped. She makes such a lovely Thank you card.

Image

The words look like they're cut and layered, but I did them digitally and coloured round them to keep the card flat for postage.

Here's a close up. I just want to smell those flowers!

Image

Zoe - a card can never say Thank you enough. I've loved loved loved being part of the DT. It's been an absolute honour.

I'm totally and utterly in LOVE with the new Christmas release from KennyK Stamps! I mean totally and utterly. I just love them to bits! There are three digi stamps in the release - Santa Baby, Santa Christmas Dance and Elfie Selfie. I couldn't resist playing with two of them straight away.

Love you to the Moon and Back with Mo's Digital Pencil

I fell in love with this digi from Mo's Digital Pencil as soon as I saw it. How cute is Moon Baby!! The backing paper is a free one that was given in the Art by Mi Ran Facebook page a while ago. I thought they worked perfectly together.

Image

Here's Moon Baby's close up

Image

Here's a close up of the moon. I love the shading you can get by using really light Copic colours.

Image

It's difficult to capture on camera but I've added some Wink of Stella to the moon to give it a subtle shimmer (which all good moons should have).

Image

Copics used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Sleepsuit - RV52, RV55, RV66, RV69
Y000, Y00, Y02
Moon - BG10, BG11, Y000

I really hope you like it.
I'd like to enter this into

Lili of the Valley do Digi Stamps!!!!

Have you heard the exciting news! Lili of the Valley has started doing digi stamps!!!
To say I'm excited is an understatement! I love Lili of the Valley but usually make 6x6 sized cards so find the rubber stamps a little too small. I'm over the moon that some of the designs are now available in digi.

I couldn't resist Time Flies and printed her nice and big as the focal point of my card.
Clean and Simple as always - but that's just how I roll.

Image

How cute is she!!!!
I coloured her with my Copics and added some Sakura Stardust pen to the dandelion clock to add to the magic.

Image

I typed the sentiment myself in the Bellwethers Font. Again I added some Sakura Stardust to give some sparkle.

Image

Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Top - B21, B24, B26, B29
Skirt & Wings - BG54, BG57
Grass - YG61, YG63, YG67
Wink of Stella
Sakura Stardust Gel Pen

I really hope you like it.

Flamingo with Make it Crafty

I've had this lovely Flamingo from Make it Crafty coloured for a while, but have finally made it into a card.

Image

The background is the top half of the Beach. I printed it with increased transparency and coloured it rather vaguely to make it look as though it's in the distance. I created the waves myself.

Here are a few close ups.

I hope you like my creation x

Regan's Surprise Happy Birthday Blog Hop

It's our amazing DT Co-ordinator Regan's Birthday today and we thought we'd surprise her with a Birthday Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday Regan!!!

Hope you're having a wonderful birthday!

Image

KennyK DT and GDT have got together to create this hop. It's a bit like a game of Pass the Parcel - you hop from one stop to the next and find a little bit of birthday love on each blog. It's a present for Regan, but we hope you'll all join in the fun too.

Leave a comment on each blog as you Hop and then leave a message for Regan in the comments on the KennyK Stamps Blog. We want to surprise her with lots of birthday love.
We'll ask Regan to choose her favourite comment from those left on the KennyK Stamps Blog to receive a prize (make sure you've left a comment on all the stops on the hop too). Closing date is Saturday 13th Aug at midnight EST)

This is the card I made for Regan. I know that Lady Raven is a digi she loves. I stuck to my clean and simple roots, but went a little darker to reflect the rock chick that Regan is.

Image

I cut the shape on my Silver Bullet Cutting machine and coloured the bottom layer with my Purple Promarker.

Here's Lady Raven's close up.

Image

I coloured her using a mixture of Copics and Promarkers

Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04 with R20 Cheeks
Hair - C7, C9, 100
Clothes - T3, T5, T7, T9
C7, C9, 100
Promarkers Purple & Aubergine, Copic 100

I really hope you like it Regan. Have a wonderful birthday and thanks for being a great friend. Enjoy every single stop on your Birthday Hop xxx

The Hop starts here
Your next stop on the Hop is at Nick

Make sure you leave a comment on each blog & a special birthday message for  Regan on the KennyK Stamps Blog to be in with winning a prize.

Lisa Horton's Creative Expressions Christmas Silhouette Stamps on Hochanda

Tonight and tomorrow sees the launch of Lisa Horton's latest range of stamps for Creative Expressions. Have you seen - she's even got her name on the box this time :D
This range features Christmas Silhouettes and they're just gorgeous!
So simple, but so elegant.
I went with super simple - just kraft card, black ink, a white pen a little Sakura Stardust and a silver pen. How easy is that!??

Here's what I created

Image

Image

Image

I added a touch of Wink of Stella to the snowflakes to make then shimmer.

Back to my Copics for this Bauble card

As a slight change I had a bit of play using distress inks to colour the edge of the card.

Image

I can't wait to see Lisa's shows on Hochanda - I always get inspired by what she does.

These are the stamp sets:
