Shots and Smiles

Today Baby Z had his two month check-up. (Yes I know he is almost 3 months but his Dr. has been booked!) Z has done a lot of growing since he last went in. Today he weighed in at 15 lb 8 3/4 oz!!!!! He is also now 24 3/4" tall!!!! Yep, other than A we don't grow small babies! Z has also started to smile a lot! He has such a sweet smile and personality. I just love this little guy. At the Dr.'s he also got 5 shots and one oral med. Poor thing has been so miserable! But I was able to catch a few smiles from him today, after one of his many feedings.

Grandpa's Visit!

This is Z's blessing weekend, and so like with all my other children, my dad has made it a point to be there for it. I really appreciate the fact that being there for them and for me is important to him. The kiddos really loved having their Grandpa all to themselves. The girls especially loved it when M was at school and grandpa had all the time in the world to play with them!

Downtown Aquarium

My inlaws are great people, and wonderful grandparents! They love to take the kiddos on outings about twice a month. This special outing was just for K (since M was fishing with dad)! The picked her up to go on a mystery car ride. (Yes, I did know where she was going!) Her mystery car ride took her to the Downtown Aquarium where she has wanted to go for quite a long time. They had a lot of fun. THANKS GRANSKI AND BOMPHA!

Can you tell she is a little afraid of the shark?

Easter Bunny Saturday

In our family, we celebrate the Easter Bunny on Saturday leaving Sunday for the remembrance of the great Atoning Sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Here are a few pics to journalize this day. The kiddos woke up supper early (6:40, about the time we have to get up every morning so M can get to school on time...). After trying our hardest to prolong it, we finally gave in and went down stairs to see what the Bunny brought, and have daddy make Able skivers! The kiddos were quite happy with their loot!
ImageImageImageZ didn't get anything this year.
The egg is only a prop. Maybe next year buddy!
ImageThat evening we had two other familys over for a BBQ and an egg hunt. We had alot of fun, and the kiddos once again made out like bandits, especially since one of the other moms brought prizes for every one!
Here is M activly on the hunt!

Crayon Overdose

So on this Good Friday, A was so tired from crying while we were trying to wash the car that she fell asleep while watching Diego afterward with K. K being the nice big sister that she is, didn't want A to miss out on what happened next, so she promptly woke her up! A then went on for several cranky hours more before I found her in the playroom like this. Image At first I was a little shocked and frightened that she may have chocked on a crayon, or poisoned herself by eating some, but she just passed out from being so exhausted. She slept only long enough for me to get a few good pictures. A has this new obsession with taking all the wrapping off of the crayons. If she cant rip off the paper she bites it off hence the crayon shavings on her face and the ground. What a silly baby!ImageImageImageImage

Good Friday......

So M was off of school for a long weekend for the Easter holidays. I had come up with some very good plans at least for the first day of the break. First we would go and get doughnuts and have breakfast in the park. We did that (see pictures...) and had a great time. The kids really enjoyed being outside and by the water. Next we were going to clean out and wash the car at home, then go to another park to play and then get lunch at Sonic, and come home and watch a movie........ Note to self.... never try to wash the car by yourself with 4 little ones under the age of 5, especially when one is a new born and another is afraid of water..... needless to say we didn't do anything other than a movie after the car incident. It was more than this mommy could take.

A Mommy Break

ImageI have a wonderful husband. He is also a wonderful dad. Anytime he comes home from work and notices that I have had a rough afternoon or that I am still in the process of making dinner... rounds up the three oldest and takes them outside to play, or work in the garden. I love this little breath of fresh air that it gives me so that I can calm down, and prepare myself for the rest of the nights activities. I am very grateful that he does this for me, but most of all that he does this for them to show them that they are important to him and that he enjoys spending time with them.ImageImageImageImageImage
