Chandler is our big 8th grader this year and ruling Junior High School! He's already 5'8" and the doctor told us that he would probably be 6' 4"! We're sooooo glad to have Chandler around! Corbin, sadly for us, moved with his mom to Texas to begin his sophomore year. But we look forward to seeing Corbin soon!

Tabby started Kindergarten! I can't believe it! She was pretty excited but mostly to ride the bus...see story below!

Gavin, on the other hand, would NOT let me leave his
pre-school. He
cried, jumped up and down, and screamed for me not to go. So in 110 degree weather I sat outside, in the shade, while he came 6 or 7 times to see if I was still there. The next time we went to school I got to sit in the car with him checking 3 times. Progress! I'm hoping that next week I'll be able to actually leave and run some errands. My little mama's boy!

Best daddy got the morning off to walk his daughter to her first day of school!

This is Tabby's teacher, Ms.
Thibault (pronounced T-bow). Tabby loves her already! Whew!
So being that Tabby is MY first to go to school we took her to school the first day. Then she begged to take the bus the next day with all the neighborhood kids. Morning bus is fine because of the older kids but the afternoon bus is only for Kindergarten. SO I followed the bus for 2 days.
The first day Tabby was on the bus for a good 45 minutes AND she was dropped off at the wrong bus stop! I would have totally FREAKED OUT, ya know! I spoke to the bus driver and made sure where she was being dropped off and what time.
By Thursday I swallowed my fear and just waited at the bus stop. Sure enough the bus came but it drove right past me and the other parents...what? Luckily the other parents didn't panic so I told myself not to panic. The bus had to turn around. Whew. And when it came back there was cute Tabby looking out the window.
When she got off the bus she exclaimed, "Yay, mom, you didn't follow the bus today...just like I prayed for." I was telling Tom the story (he said prayers with her the night before) and he said, "I forgot to tell you. She said in her prayers, 'Please bless Mommy won't follow the bus tomorrow.'" So what can I say, my little girl's prayers were answered. Too funny!
