A/B/O, but with accurate characterisation! Alpha Lin Chen is requested to aid omega Jingyan, with power dynamics, lactation, and one of my favourite NiF rarepairs all in one. So good.

To fall but in your arms by naye ( Guardian, Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan)
AU from episode 9, different Envoy reveal, and some of the best writing and intense scene immersion I've felt in fic in a long time. And Shen Wei putting his everything into taking care of Zhao Yunlan. That bridge!

Fox Office Hit by qikiqtarjuaq (Guardian RPF, Bai Yu/Zhu Yilong)
Bai Yu is a fox spirit that feeds on energy and attention, Zhu Yilong is secretly a dragon, and both of them want to protect each other so much- this has such good characterisation, such good *fun*, and such amazing h/c, I adore every part of it. ♥

Creatures of the Night Don't Wear Paisley by Random_Nexus (Jeeves&Wooster, Bertie/Jeeves)
WIP, but still super fun to read. Bertie Wooster finds out his hidden legacy as a vampire, but Jeeves is prepared to deal with all eventualities. And has a few secrets of his own.

Eyes on Me by Mami-san (Weiss Kreuz, Crawford/Schuldig)
I haven't read this one in years and years, but I remember it fondly from way back in WK. Crawford develops Guillain-Barre syndrome- being trapped in your own head is a lot easier to manage when a telepath is determined to stick around and help.

Attack Dogs Make Great Babysitters by Only_1_Truth (James Bond movies, Bond & child!Q gen)
Bond rescues a kid being forced to work for some bad guys. Then they adopt each other. (I adore stories about extremely dangerous killers trying to take good care of small children.)

Strength Undying, and in Love by icarus_chained (Highlander, Methos/Joe)
Joe and Methos get drunk and go to bed together, post-Indiscretions. ♥ I remembered this fic for years, and I loved Methos' pov on Joe, and the way he touched him.

A Chemical Sort of Sickness by Tobiroth (FF VII, Cloud/Sephiroth, Zack)
Mako injections suck, no matter who you are. The back and forth of Soldiers looking after each other, and making friends. I love this era of FF7 fic, and I love giving early Sephiroth human connections.

Sustain and Purify by jeejaschocolate (FF XV, Chocobros x Ardyn)
Noct, Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio all help to drive the scourge from Ardyn's body. With porn, and h/c, and lots and lots of Ardyn feels, which is all I want from FFXV.

Master and Commander and Zombies by anonymous (Aubreyad, Jack/Stephen)
Zombie Apocalypse AU. I normally avoid zombie stories, but I loved the characterisation of Jack's and Stephen's individual responses to it, and the playing out of loyalty while the world falls apart.

Cassoulet by Muccamuk (The Musketeers, Athos and Porthos)
Short and gen and a little quiet moment of bonding, pre-show, as Porthos and Athos are just beginning to know each other. Porthos hurts, and Athos is not what he expected.

Quarantined by shirebound (LOTR, Bilbo, Aragorn, Frodo gen)
Another older rec. Pre-LOTR, Aragorn is sick and Gandalf drops him off at Bag End to recover, not knowing Frodo now lives there too. I love Aragorn h/c way too much, the Ranger/hobbit bonding is sweet, and this fic has a whole host of sequels.

The Ride by Charlotte Frost (Starsky & Hutch, Starsky/Hutch)
Starsky is beat up, Hutch is looking after him, and Dobey is driving them both home. Super iddy, intense, partner h/c. Touch, reliance, trust- I love these two and this hits just the right note for them.

Hope, Logic, and Other Wastes of Time by pantswarrior (Star Trek TOS, Spock/McCoy)
AU post-FTWIHAIHTTS. The xenopolycthemia returns, and McCoy has limited time to find a cure himself. Spock will not allow him to give up. Pantswarrior is really good at h/c that respects each character's autonomy but also allows those moments of connection that make the genre.

Fix You by givemeanimeanyday (Granada Holmes, Holmes/Watson, scenes of Watson/Mary Morstan)
Vid. Utterly beautiful vid. Both of them, coming home to each other. And caring. I rewatched it to see if it fit this rec list, and it made me happy-cry. ♥
