M17 Foundation was established to provide a legal entity to represent all the activities and endeavors directly linked with M17 Protocol development. With the growing number of the Protocol’s implementations on the market, there is a strong need to control the development process. We stand for the rejection of black-box technology and increasing technical awareness through popularization of open-source ideology in amateur radio.
The Foundation’s existence is also crucial for protecting our existing and future assets, including intellectual property.
