Our little Reader

Mabel loves to Read.  She reads everything wherever we go.  She is always reading signs while we
are driving, advertisements, books - anything she sees.  She has become a really good reader
We are so pround of her - she taught herself to read and does it more and more all the time.
We are so amazed by how smart and talented she is.

Christmas 2011

Every year we spend Christmas Eve with Dad's family, Christmas morning by ourselves with our own little family, and Christmas Night with Mom's Family.  It works out great for us.  We get special time with everyone. This year was a little different because we had a few guests on Christmas morning.

We spent Christmas Eve at Lolo's house with Belly, Jeff, and Angie.
We read and acted out Luke 2
We had a yummy dinner
We opened presents
It was a very nice evening.  Everyone had a great time.

We woke up early Christmas morning to spy on Santa - that was so cool!
Santa brought Mabel and Hattie both new bikes.  Well, Mabel's is actually a pink pony....Mabel
wanted a pink pony for Christmas...since Santa knew that having an actual Pony would
prove difficult where she lives, he brought her a pink pony with wheels instead of hoofs.  She has a beautiful saddle and lovely pink coat.  She even came with an awesome pony helmet.  Mabel adores her.
Hattie got a sweet black and red ride as well.

We invited Lolo and Angie to come and see Santa this year since they have never
gotten to see him before.  It was fun to have them.  We'll have to invite them to come again some year.
Maybe we can invite one of our grandmas each year.  We'll see how that goes.  (We have 5 grandmas)

On Christmas Night, we went over to Grandma Laurie's house.
Jeff and Annie blessed baby Wyatt.
We opened presents and did our ornament exchange.
We had some yummy food.
And we ate cake - we sang Happy Birthday to Grandpa and Jesus - Mabel insisted on this.

Bev sent Hattie and Mabel the most adorable pajamas.  I think they are my favorite ones yet.
And the girls totally love them - they always choose to wear them.

Mabel is Missing a Tooth

On November 29th 2011, I told Mabel to go brush her teeth to prepare for bed.  A few minutes later, she comes running out of the bathroom.  Mommy, mommy, look.  She had lost her first tooth.  It had been loose for awhile. I asked her how she lost it. She said she was about to brush her teeth and she sneezed and it flew out of her mouth into the sink.  She was so excited to put it under her pillow.  The tooth fairy didn't make it the first night, but brought her a $2 Bill the second night - and she got to keep her tooth too!

Finally - a Pony Ride

Mabel and Hattie have been wanting to ride a pony forever
and every time we try it doesn't work out

We took the girls to the Jelly Belly Factory and outside
there just so happened to be pony rides

There was no telling these girls no - they were so excited!
