Andrew Parsons is a lawyer by trade and a recovering politician, recently retired as the MHA for Burgeo–La Poile and Minister of Industry, Energy & Trade. As Minister, Parsons pushed the idea that Newfoundland and Labrador couldn’t fish, dig, and drill forever and needed to invest in renewables, tech, defence, and ocean innovation. He is a strong advocate for diversifying the economy, nudging it toward a future where startups and researchers work alongside traditional industries.
