today was supposed to be four years. i had a home spa/wine day with some of the girls to keep my mind off it. it went really well until i got home and i just..collapsed emotionally. i'm tired of constantly fighting this loneliness. it's exhausting just trying to not feel crushed.

i hope he feels a fraction of what i feel.

damnit shiloh, i miss you. remember how we used to just lay on the couch for hours, all curled up under blankets, watching tv? and the one time you sat under the kitchen table singing the general's chicken song.. how i used to comb all the tangles out of your hair after your three-hour bath.. and there was the time you cut, just a little too deep.. i'll never forget the look in your eyes. everyone else was oblivious, but i helped you clean it out and take care of it. the last time i saw you, we walked down to wawa to get cappucinos. you told me you missed me and you loved me.. i hope you know we all miss you and we all love you too. you were a beautiful, heartbreaking, tragic girl. i hope you're finally at peace. happy birthday, shiloh.

goals for 2009 (not resolutions!), to be crossed out as completed and added to as needed:

- practice driving at least one hour a week (7/16 two weeks in a row!)
- be comfortable driving in little traffic (7/16, should have been more specific. i am comfortable in little traffic, in a car with automatic transmission! will update when i'm ok w/manual 11/20)
- be comfortable driving in moderate traffic in automatic (11/20)
- be comfortable driving in moderate traffic in standard (12/15)
- get a license (11/20 WOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!)
- rewrite my resume
- get a better paying, less stressful job
- begin exercising on a regular basis
- join a yoga class (4/26 - sort of.. I went for ~4 classes before my ride(s) quit on me! 11/13 started up again finally!!!)
- finish reading the heart of the buddha's teachings
- meditate regularly

i updated the last 2 times i went to see nin, so i might as well do it again! i snagged 2 tickets to see them at the bowery ballroom and i am FUCKING EXCITED. the nin/ja show was..slightly disappointing despite the badass seats and the great performance, due to being surrounded by jane's addiction fans and the somewhat rushed set (since ja was following them) and yeah. so, favoritest band ever + tiny venue = massive excitement.

been driving with nancy on a regular basis. i fucking wish one of our cars was an automatic. it's so much easier. i am OKAY with the automatic. then throw in shifting and i'm like "durrrrr".

one of the things i want to do when i get my license is sign up for the meditation/yoga class i was taking before. arghh i miss it. it was so good.

i havent posted in here in..a lonnnngtime. i know one of the last posts was nin-related and i'm going to see them again next month and, to make up for the shitty seats last time, i got AMAZING seats this time. also with janes addiction but..whatever. perry farrell always seemed kinda douchey but thats okay. i will sit through it and i'm sure i'll enjoy it anyway. live music is usually enjoyable.

i'm going to a midnight showing of the new star trek movie tomorrow with april, mainly to see the weirdos come out. there's 2 gay furries that live in the other end of the building. they're really sweet. i hope i see them at star trek.

my phone just started vibrating in my pocket and it scared the shit out of me. :( i hate that.

hmm..what else? i've been on another anime kick lately. started watching naruto: shippudden again w/peeps, then started on avatar (only sort of anime, i suppose), which was REALLY GOOD. surprisingly good! and i'm HELLA excited for the movie now. plus, jackson rathbone <3. also started watching death note again (we stopped sometime after the uh 'cast change' and we got all disappointed. it's better after some time in between, plus there's a NEW character that's really interesting so far). then i saw someone's lj icon of majin tantei nougami neuro and it looked crazy and colorful, so i looked it up. turns out its about a teen p.i. and a demon that consumes mysteries? lol.. so i downloaded it and it's pretty cool so far.

have i been doing anything productive? not really. i work, and i spend time with chris and our friends, and i watch anime (lately).

got 3 more weddings this summer. really need to start buying gifts nowww before it's like last minute OMG I HAVE NO MONEY!!!!! situation. need to look for some nice things to wear also!! OH and on the topic of weddings, i've finally picked out my replacement wedding/engagement bands and i'll be ordering them soon. yay!!

hmm.. okay, thats it for now.

i need a version of oh my darling, clementine that i can listen to. it's bothering me that i can't find it, other than the first couple of verses! (ok.. and bobby darin's version which i REALLY don't like.)
