A few helium balloons, tied to a little bean bag so that they didn't float away, sat outside in the front yard, idly swaying in the light little breeze, just waiting to attract the attention of the guests.

_{[It had been quite a while since Balfour had died, and longer since he had come back, blundering around in the roads. He had basically stayed quiet, stayed with Amery, and not bothered anyone. He would have his meals out in the yard or on the stoop so that he could feel the rays of the sun and feed the cat that had come begging, but otherwise, he hadn't been very social.

He was, admittedly, afraid of seeing his boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, something… He wasn't sure what Reid was now. He only knew that he had broken a very important promise, so he was quite sure that the man didn't want to see him.

Not to mention, Balfour didn't want Reid to see him like this: blind and confused. He hated it, hated himself for this happening, and he just wanted it to go away.

Well, it wasn't going away, so, right now, Balfour has decided that it's a good time to feel some sun on his skin. He's out in the yard in shorts and a tee shirt, laying back among the grass, bare hands and feet enjoying the sensation as he stared at the sky with an empty gaze, imagining dragons playing among imagined clouds.

Was it really worth it, he asked himself.]}

[Pillows, pillows everywhere. Of course, that means there's a dark purple British shorthair cat napping on the sidewalk. Yes, just in the middle of the sidewalk. He's a cat; people are expected to move around him, not the other way around. Just don't step on his tail.]

[Orlea]

[Now awake and mobile, the same cat can be found prowling along the streets, hopping up onto shop windowsills to peer inside, and of course, looking for any food that's free for the taking. Or easy enough to steal. Beware catching his attention, or else there will be a cat following you trying to mooch free food with sad looks.]

[Astralfield]

[Here, Calum can be found chasing butterflies, repeatedly trying to pounce on them only to miss as they flutter out of reach again. He might be easy to miss at first, low to the ground as he is while he stalks his prey, but the purple tail swishing through the air before he pounces will give away his position.]

[Whitewood]

[He might have been bugging the fairies. He might have accidentally pissed them off and gotten chased away by them. He might be sitting on the steps of a building cleaning twigs and leaves out of his fur before taking care of some...obvious but extremely mild battle wounds. As if there had been any battle, and not just him running away as quick as he could.]

What: Balfour is back from the dead, but he paid a price: his sight. Now Amery, ever the good big brother, has to deal with the consequences.

Balfour had absolutely no idea where he was. The houses weren't pillows, so that definitely ruled out Mallowhallow, but...anywhere else? No, unfortunately not. He stumbled down the sidewalk, touching the walls as he went, to a chorus of "Watch where you're going" and "Get out of the way!"

Ever the 'soldier', he moved on. He had to get back home, wherever that was.

The building he was following came to a stop, but he didn't. He kept walking, trying to move quickly across the gap, unsure and unaware of any danger in doing this. All he knew was that he wanted his wall back.

What: Yuuki somehow managed to get Zero to go shopping with her. ~~AKA Shopping date yo~~

However way it happened, Yuuki somehow convinced Zero to go shopping with her. Although, there really wasn't any purpose to the shopping trip. If anything, all she wanted to do was to actually spend time with Zero alone ~~while maybe trying to hide certain feelings for the boy~~. They'd been here for how long and not once had she been able to actually hang out with Zero, just the two of them; unless you count her arriving at Mallow Hallow. There'd always been someone who got in the middle of all it. Either Ichiru, Kaname, or some other people always seemed to butt in. While she didn't really have qualms against having company, it did get a little annoying after a while.

She really shouldn't have been over-thinking things, but it was hard not to say this was a date. Just the idea of being on a date made her flustered. She'd never really been on one before. Unlike most girls, she never seemed to really care about that fact because she was always too busy to even think of it. If she had to think about even considering dating anyone, the only person that came to mind was the boy she'd helped take in when he was injured. Even then she'd never really considered it until entering high school. One thing has been clear over the years, though.

Zero has always been one of the most important people in her life. She couldn't imagine living in a world that he was no longer apart of.

According to Kaname, she was his fiance, but it just felt so... weird. So awkward finding out that she'd be the fiance to her brother. And while it made sense as to why it would work out the way it would, she just couldn't get past the fact that he was her brother and family usually didn't have romantic relations; Something that she's had to learn to get over due to her crush on him. Of course she still loved her brother, but now it was in a different form as it was before she knew. Even if Zero and Yuuki pretty much distanced themselves during that time, according to Zero and Kaname, at least he was still around, and that's what was important.

Getting out and just relaxing was kind of nice; Even if the word 'date' kept popping up in her mind and making her flustered. This shouldn't be like this. No! This should have been exciting, happy, and peaceful. No where in that sentence should nervous come up, but she couldn't help it. Standing where they were supposed to meet up at, she nervously kept to herself as she stared to the ground.

'This is not a date. This is not a date!' she thought.

What: Victor finds himself suddenly in the possession of a most peculiar book. . .

For the first day, Victor's perfectly happy to follow Tronctor's injunction to stay inside. After all, he lives in Astralfield -- the district where you don't need portals to experience random crap flying in from everywhere. Anything that manages to add to the chaos that already stalks the streets is definitely to be avoided. He has his keyboard and his sketchbook -- who needs to go outside?

When the second day dawns bright and sunny, though, and it becomes clear that, despite Tronctor's warnings, most people are just going about their day as usual, Victor decides to venture out of doors. Strange objects like potted cacti and half a ship's mast litter the ground, and what looks like a wooly mammoth lumbers down a nearby street, but it's impossible to tell if they're from the portals or people's heads. It's just like any other day, Victor realizes, and decides to get some grocery shopping done.

And promptly narrowly avoids getting clobbered by a book falling out of the sky.

His first response is to yelp and fall over with a thud. His second is to glare at the book that nearly took his head off. His third is to gape at it. It's large, rather old book, bound in cracking brown leather, and with the title "A Compendium of Magic" written on the front in gold. But that's not what making him stare.

It's the name of the author.

"Theodor Gutknecht."

He snatches it up and dashes over to the nearest place to sit, which just so happens to be his usual bench. Sitting down, he opens it and starts to read.

It started off unnoticed, then overnight VVC Stations, a fifty floor media station for both television and radio, was completely infested with vines that have somehow blocked all transmissions. To no one's surprise their attack force has decided to try and take care of all the chaos without outside help, but the numerous other disasters have spread the response teams thin- for now the building is just manned for a few small squadrons to try and contain the situation.

Thankfully, the lights of Crystalden aren't too bad during the day, otherwise Miku would likely have outright refused to show Hibiki around the district. While all the technology was pretty impressive, all the lights, on the buildings and the locals, just gave her a headache if she stared too long. But the lights were dimmer during the day and besides, she's bored. So, showing a newcomer around might do her some good. And on top of that, she'll get to look like she knows what she's doing, which is always a plus.

And, well, she's getting an excuse to eat sweets out of it. She's been trying so hard to be good, really! She's not got much money to last her after all, so she's been eating as little and as cheaply as is feasible. But she's missed sweets, and, well, she deserved a treat for being so helpful to a newcomer, right? Yes, she'll go with that.

"So where are you from, Kuze-san?" she asks Hibiki as they walk. She's... pretty sure they're heading in the right direction. If they get lost, she can just say they were going the scenic route.

She sits in the main receiving room of the brothel, across from the staircase to the upper floors and private rooms, and tries to find some way to amuse herself. In actual fact, there's no need for her to be here this early - it's not as if their business gets many customers during the day, and even if someone were to come in, it's nothing the workers who actually live in Highcrest couldn't handle - but she thinks that, after her little announcement, she ought to make herself readily available for anyone who might be interested enough to stop by.

So she skims through the network on her phone, sips idly from the cup of tea on the small table by her elbow, and flicks her glance occasionally at the door, wondering if any new faces will appear.

It's about time something interesting happened, at any rate.

... of course she knows perfectly well that she isn't as good a student as certain OTHER people who shall remain nameless (coughRanmacough) but she isn't going to think about that. Not one little itty bit.

Nope. And with luck, certain OTHER Other people who shall remain nameless (coughKodachicough) won't crash the party too. So she'd gotten permission to set up a small area in town where the demonstration would take place.
