Hualapai, again

A guy that Matt works with invited us to have a picnic today up in the mountain.  We had a great time meeting new families and the kids played hard.  It was the perfect spot and so beautiful.

Rock piles like this were everywhere and the kids loved climbing all over them.  There was snow in some of the crevices.

So the "wild" deer are not so wild.  They seriously walked right into camp and were eating from our hands.  I don't think they would have left us alone until we gave them a little treat.  There were four.

Hualapai Mtn Hike

I haven't posted in almost a year.  Just in case anyone reads this besides family here's a quick update: Matt graduated Law school, took the bar, Emerson started Kindergarten, Matt passed the bar, got a job in Kingman, moved to Kingman last week, we are expecting a little girl in March.

So now that we are further from family I just might start posting few pictures.

Emerson really wanted to go hiking.  This morning we took the kids to Hualapai Mountain park and did a little exploring/ hiking.  It's only about 15 mins from our house and county employees get in free :-).

A small deviation off the trail to this rock overhang.

We let the kids bring a few pieces of Halloween candy.  Emerson likes this cry baby gum which is very sour.  He face is hilarious too!

Really not sure why I am in this really akward pose.

A tree right in the middle of the trail.  I figured my dad would like a picture of this, he likes unusual things like this.

Emerson wanted to keep hiking but Ella was done and since she's getting over a cough we let her decide.

No more tracks

Image
Just so you know... they don't want you taking pictures on the railroad tracks in downtown Gilbert. I got chewed out by a huge jerk in a car. I didn't even know it wasn't allowed there is always a line to snap a few shots here. Oh well the pictures we got turned out good.

Happy Halloween

Ella needed on too, of course.

Grandma taking the kids to Basha's for some pre-trick or treating treats. Notice Ella... that's what happens when it's 90+ degrees outside in the end of October.

They insisted on folding their arms and talking the whole time I was trying to take their picture. But they are rather cute!
