「Backtagging」 Go for it, though it might take me a bit to tag back while I check on what was going on in the thread.
「Threadhopping」 Unless the conversation looks serious, have at it. If it does look serious, check with me and/or whoever else is in the thread first.


「Flirting」 Absolutely. He'll probably even flirt back - though whether most would recognize it as flirting is debatable.
「Hugging」 Go ahead; Maqui's pretty cool with physical contact, though he might side-eye someone he doesn't know if that character hugs him out of the blue. He'll also probably brush your character off after a moment or two.
「Kissing」 Sure. You'll probably get some kind of reaction out of him; it won't necessarily be a good reaction, but it'll be a reaction. He might also take this as permission to troll your character forever from that point forward.
「Fighting」 Go for it, but just remember that he will retaliate (and having grown up with people who are bigger than him, he's learned to give about as good as he receives).
「Injuring/Maiming/Killing」 Always seek permission first; whether or not permission is given really depend on the situation (if it makes sense, etc), though serious injuries and death will always need a lot of plotting if I do allow them.
「Telepathy/Mind Reading」 He doesn't have any defenses against this since he's just a normal human, so go for it. Just maybe make a note OOC that you're doing it so I know.
「Altering Magic」 Please ask permission first.
