hello

I should really start blogging again. Just for journaling purposes. I have looked up a lot of past posts lately and thats got me thinking i should re-enter the blogging world. Plus, i hate the picture that pops up when i come to my page so its time to at least update so that placenta cake disapears. :)

Out picking Mexican Sour Gherkins with daddy! This is one of my favorite summer pictures of the family.

This boy! He has such a fun unique personality. This day he dressed up as a contruction worker and talked all serious on his phone (tucked into his pants) that he needed more workers right now! He is one entertaining kid to have around.

July Maddness

July has always been a crazy month. I kinda dread it and love it at the same time. This year though, it was OVER THE TOP and i pray with every fiber of my being that I never have a July like it again. All the activities were amazing, they just need to be spread out!!
Really it all started when me and Luke decided that we would fly out to see Chase graduate in Wisconsin. It was so great. I went childless and just got good conversation time in with Luke while we flew and waited in the airport. The vacation was wonderful. Brandon took me up Wednesday June 24 from our house and I came back Saturday night.

Mom and Gaylen road their bike all the way from Grover to Wisconsin! WOW!
Then just 3 days later i had to be packed up and our new trailer packed up to go camping with Brandons family for the 4th. We had a great time. The kids loved riding their bikes. Brookie had a nasty fall. But luckily i had forgot their bike helmets so i was making them wear motorcycle helmets while they went down the steep hill, because the 4th or 5th time she went down she crashed big time and her face would have been hamburger, but that extra piece on the helmet granted her pretty face just one tiny scratch on her chin instead of her whole face. Blake loved eating rocks and sticks, Parley loved to be free.

While mom takes pictures at an inappropriate time, Kyler comes to comfort. (she wasnt crying. She was so tough!! I just snapped these few then helped her and comforted her. Mom of the year i know)

Showing her hurt arms and dirty tummy after the crash. She had road rash and bruises on her tummy. It was a bad crash!

She didnt want to ride her bike so Kyler let he ride on his...sweetest brother.

we ate WAY too many marshmallows this trip!
We got back from the 4th trip 2 hours before church. Then just 2 days later i had to have laundry all done and repacked up to go to my families reunion up Fairvew. Too bad the weather was so yucky! It rained almost the entire time. Even hailing so hard and much the kids thought there was snow!! We enjoyed "Quinn Suckers" aka homemade suckers Quinn like to make. The Kids loved playing Beanboozled, which I am not fun enough to participate in. Seriously why would i voluntarily eat yucky tasting jelly beans? I dont even like jelly beans to start with, and then to make vomit, dog food, baby wipes, skunk spray; NO THANKS! We decorated bandannas, made shrinkedinks, and took naps. When the rain lightened up we would fish. :) What a wonderful trip.

We got back Saturday and I started my girls camp prep. I left to Sheep Valley with 21 girls the next Thursday Morning. This was most defiantly the most trying calling I have ever held. The girls were wonderful, so cute, so fun. I dont know why now i stressed so much...oh ya cause i didn't delegate much at all so i did it all myself. Next time itll be different. I really enjoyed the camp and the girls seemed to as well.

I got back Saturday. Regrouped and the following Thursday we left for another family reunion, for Brandons moms family, the Simonsens, back in Fairview. We had a beautiful time. The weather was so much better this time. We went for 2 long rides and enjoyed every minute.

He doesn't take a binki, but he will suck on his blankey to go to sleep.
We left Saturday night, Sunday we packed the scout trailer back up (we had just unloaded it from girls camp) and Monday at 9 Brandon took his scout to a week long scout camp.

Holy Smokes. Mix in my full time business of tending 18 kids 11 hours a day and teaching classes 10 hours a month, Brandon being so busy at work, going in early almost everyday, all the prep for girls camp/scout camp, oh ya and taking care of our 4 young kids!!!!! We have been insane for 6 weeks!! So ready for winter. Seriously. Let it Snow and let us have nowhere to go!!

We love our families. We loved all the time we got to spend with them this past month. In all reality I wouldn't change a thing. Thankful for my helpers ive hired to help with my business, thankful for understanding people all around who don't judge me for my dark circles under my eyes, my messy house, my unruly yard, and tired kids. Instead many angels have been there to support us.
