Christmas Eve & Morning
Fire by Netflix!
For Christmas Eve we had a low key family dinner. I made Prime rib, asparagus, and Mashed Potatoes. Gavin tried to make rolls (twice) but due to things that were not his fault they did not turn out, so he bought the rolls instead. After dinner we opened our Christmas Jammies (made by Grammy, THANKS) read our Christmas stories, got cookies and milk out for Santa and went to bed. In the morning the boys woke up and were excited to see that Santa had indeed come!
Shootin'
Last year at Finns school carnival I won a gift certificate to a gan range that include everything but bullets. I have put off using it because I am not much of a gun person. It was going to expire soon so Gavin insited that we use it. It was fun, although I still feel no need to own a gun.
Christmas Party
We held our traditional Christmas Party again. It was a fun night with good friends, games, and good food. I only got a picture of the food (can you tell what my priorities are).
Tree Decorating
We had our traditional tree decorating dinner the day after Thanksgiving. We wanted to get our tree up before Gavin left for a week to France. It was a nice evening and although I forgot to take a picture the tree looked fab!
Coach Gavin
Gavin coached his second season of soccer for Finn's team the Blue Bullets.
They did not win any games this season, but improved a lot and learned how to lose with grace!

BYU Football1
While we were in UT for Fall Break we took Finn to his first (that he can remember) BYU Football game. We got hot chocolate and Redvines, watched the game, watched the band, and had a great time! I think his favorite part was when the crowed did the wave!
Fire Pit
Gavin has long lamented the fact that our back yard is unfinished! He has been thinking for a while of getting a fire pit that would help us use and enjoy the space, even in its primitive state. Saturday he decide it was time and went out and bought one. He and the boys put it together after church Sunday and so our evening was spent outside making s'mores and enjoying the AZ weather!
Greek Festival
The Second Grade at Finn's school has been studying Ancient Greece the myths, the history, and about the country. Last Thursday they had a party to finish off the unit. They had to dress as someone from Ancient Greece.

First Day of School/Preschool
Finn Started School August 3, 2011 He has Mrs. Schick and is in Second grade!
Harrison Started Preschool August 15, 2011 and has Mrs. Larson!

Two Things
Since the first time I read Harry Potter I have been excited to read them to my kids (this was long before I had kids or even a boyfriend). Well I am reading "Harry" to Finn and It is just as great as I always thought it would be! We love it!
Also Finn lost his third tooth!
