Ezra turns 2!

 May 30
This is it, we have a 2 year old on our hands…
I got these cute pjs for a baby gift and when I pulled them out I set them aside to be his Birthday pjs!
to bad he peed them and couldn't wear them to open his presents… but they are still cute!

he got 4 gifts and a picture from Sami… I wrapped his presents the night before and had them on the table for him to open when he woke up, and when i got up that picture was sitting on the presents… Sami is such a sweet big sister!
Image
This cool Wheelie car ramp was in stores about a year ago and I haven't seen it since but I have been buying him wheelies for the past year in hopes to give him one… I had to go on Fisher Price on line to buy it but it's awesome and he loves it! (it was free shipping)

He also loves puzzles so that was easy!
This cute outfit he is wearing I planned on him wearing in his 2 year old pictures. I made the apt and everything. I cut his hair the night before so it wasn't too long and I was looking forward to his handsome pictures. We were going to go to Toys R us so he could spend his $3 off a purchase of $3 or more gift card…
Sad tale… dropped Sami off at school, half way to the Valley when he threw up all over himself…
we turned around and came home. Sami just got over this bug… I am used to the 24 or 48 hour flu where you are consistently feeling like crap. Sami threw up 4 times in 3 days so I gotta say most annoying sickness ever. I finally decided Sami was well when she didn't throw up for 24 hours. So from Tuesday -Wednesday, she was sick,  Thursday on my nerves… so Friday I sent her to school… and than Ezra gets it…
We got home and changed him and planned on being inside for the day. When 2:30 rolled around and he was fit as a fiddle I decided we needed to get out of the house and have some fun for this kids birthday since all our other plans went to pot…
Image
Does this cute boy look sick?
Yeah he walks everywhere it's awesome I love it… and so glad it finally happened!
I love this outfit!
Image
picked Sami up and went to the park… where he played and played and played…
Image
We get home from the park… and after an hour of the girls fighting decided we needed to make a Walmart run for diapers… we get half way there and puke puke puke… so I took a naked kid wrapped in his blanket into the store… I bought him a t-shirt and let him roam around the toys, he didn't touch anything I followed him all around (put that in for you moms who might be a big disgusted with me right now)… I had wiped him all off everything was very sanitized I was a wet wiping machine… it's one of these hard mom decisions… it's a 20+ min drive to Walmart… have to get stuff so looking at the toys was a must…
he didn't throw up the rest of the night…
Image
Saturday… house is cleaned mom is antsy no puzzles to do, and so have to go the store to get cocoa for Ezra's cake so we walk there… big mom blunder I bought Sami summer shoes and didn't realize they were too small she didn't say they were… so glad I spend $10 on a pair of shoes I will have to just save for Daphne! Grrr… so Sami's feet hurt so we got a snack and stopped at the little park and ate before walking home. An Amtrak went by (which is the coolest train to see) and so that is on the list of must do with the kids some day!
Image
Got this boy some Sierra Mist… he couldn't keep down juice or gatorade so pop…
it stayed down… easy on the chips he was good to go… hopefully we won't have any more problems tomorrow.
Image
Dave got off early because he is working on a major programming exam and so we went out to dinner for Ezra's birthday to Zips, and than had cake… no ice cream… cake was filling enough… saving ice cream for another day!
Image
 Not liking the hat much!
I'm pretty proud of my cake… Pinterest idea… used a different toy on top but I used what we had…
and i made the cake and frosting from scratch…
Image
Poor kid ate some M&M's but that was it… he didn't even want any cake…
maybe tomorrow…

Well one birthday down one more to go in a couple weeks…. for Sami!
This kid is awesome I love him so much and am excited for this next year… don't want him to grow up to fast but at the same time I am excited to hear him start saying more stuff.
Tonight he was playing between the couches where he isn't supposed to play and i look over and I say… "Ezra" in a tone and he points at himself and says "Me?" I laughed silently and said "ya, get out of there…" seriously that was awesome… love this kid… love him even more when he isn't sick!

Something You May Not Know About Me!

I LOVE PUZZLES!!!
It used to be just Puz 3-Ds but when I got married and had no where to store them… I saved my favorites and gave away the rest. I had quite the collection…
I saved R2-D2 and my Monopoly game… that you can play Monopoly with!
My new thing is ones I can store easy, or hang on the wall, to display, something with purpose.
I discovered this style what ever you want to call it a few years ago, and so when ever I see one I don't have I add to the collection.
They are Thomas Kincaid Disney puzzles. I like them because they have the painting style but with the Disney theme… so it's more like a work of art than a cartoon picture. So I am still missing a few in the collection but over time as I find them for good prices I will keep adding. The hope is to someday have a play room, tv room, or informal family room where the kids play to display them on a large wall in a collage… I love them, and the kids love them so it all works! I put them together with my spare time, than I glue them and put them on the wall, they all need proper frames…. Right now they are on the walls in the girls room and Ezra's room… we have vaulted ceiling down the middle of our house and so it helps to have the space to put them. I recently bought a puzzle mat so that I can work on it and than put it away and not have any progress lost. It's great, if you are a puzzle addict like me it's a good investment especially with kids. It's a large piece of felt bigger than my biggest puzzle (Greg Olsen at the bottom), and than a inflatable tube that you roll it up… and velcro straps and you can buy them anywhere for about $13. I love it!
Image
My most recent finished this in two days… spaced out time but probably my fastest!
"Princess and the Frog"
18x14
Image
 "Cinderella"
Image
 My first in the collection
"101 Dalmatians"
My biggest one… and also most detailed and hardest to put together.
Image
"Snow White and Seven Dwarfs"
smallest one
Image
"Pinocchio"
18x14
Image
"Peter Pan"
18x14
Image
"Jungle Book"
and
"Lion King"
18x14
I had some major issues with the Jungle Book, as you can see I have two missing pieces…
who knows if they got thrown out or fell off my puzzle mat, a kid hid them… I'm assuming they will turn up, if not oh well… and than as I was flipping it over to glue It all fell apart and so i had to do it all over again… after a over night break because of complete frustration
Image
I have a few non Thomas Kincaid…. great movie posters… the girls love!
Image
 and a baby "Greg Olsen"

Image
This is my largest puzzle I have ever completed it has hung on our wall in our front room since I completed it almost 3 years ago. I was really excited, after I moved to Cheney a lady was moving out and she was getting rid of stuff and I got a bunch and this was in it… I love it and hope to add more Greg Olsen's to my collection!
Image
When I was expecting Ezra I was getting his room decor together and found these puzzles at the Dollar Tree and I love how they look all framed up in his room… so cheap and easy… a good idea for anyone fixing up a room! You can find a puzzle your kid loves and do the same thing!

Well there ya go… 'one' of my hidden addictions…

May.. some fun tidbits!

May is a fun, laid back kind of month… before the craziness of summer hits. It is the last month of school, the start of all the park visits and when all the junk food surfaces because it's quick, easy and oh so yummy!
Image
Ezra has got the chill down!
Image
Daphne is hopefully showing off her cute shorts mom hemmed and added a cute tie too…
Image
Sami… wanting me to take her picture… I think.
Image
This boy recently graduated to eating at the table… we decided upon this when after meals when he claims he is done he gets on someone else's chair and proceeds to eat there left overs… so it's a rush to clear the food before the dishes go to the ground when he finds something he does not like!
Image
Daphne being cute on the slides!
Image
Dave said she is a Princess Sophia twin… pretty close!
Image
How Super man looks in his sleep!
Image
We had a play date at the park… parts of the park were wet from the sprinkler and I never have extra clothes so this girl got to run around all 'WT' in her underwear for the next hour and half we were there… no one judged and if they did… hey at least her underwear had no holes… it had a hard time covering her cheeks though!
Image
Very delicious dessert I found on Pinterest and made two pans of for Memorial Day…
I made a pan Sunday for our family to test out… needless to say I didn't stop eating it.
Than I made another pan for Monday… I didn't have one bite of that one… but it was gone when I left the ward picnic… it looked as if someone had attempted to scrape if not lick it clean!
I had several compliments on the very yummy dessert!
Image
Dave is extremely busy and so on Sundays that is when he gets free time to do most of his snuggling, so while I am preparing dinner he is under a pile of kiddos… most of them fighting to be right next to him… as you can see Ezra trying to push Daphne away… he is a big Daddies boy!
Image
Fake napping, these girls are pros!
Image
How she passed out for the night… I don't blame her that was probably really comfortable place to sleep!

Hope your May was as fun filled and laid back as ours!

May Fest & egg dyeing!

My parents came up for a quick day visit… Sami had her first and only field trip and so she missed out on most of there visit but still had a good time with them when she got home.
We had some time to kill between school being done, and May Fest and so we watched Frozen.
Grandma and Grandpa had never seen it and they sure enjoyed watching it with Sami… telling them everything that was going to happen before it happened… very helpful… what a funny girl!
Image
My mom and I had been invited to have a booth at May Fest in Downtown Cheney but with never have been to it before didn't know if it would be worth the set up and clean up for 4 hours, so they came to visit to check in out in case we want to join next year…. verdict is still out.
Image
They did have some fun stuff that was free… face painting… both the girls wanted rainbows. Daphne left hers on and finally it washed off Saturday night in her bath… Sami ripped hers off as soon as we got back to the car. They suckered grandpa into buying them cotton candy…
Image
And we found this fun addition….

Image
They even convinced grandma to get in a shot…
(mom I posted this only because it is a good picture of you…)
Image
In a house where you have a by the book, in order kind of daughter… when the egg dyeing doesn't happen for Easter it is just not simply forgotten til next year so finally I relented and we got it done.

I had seven eggs and I let them each dye 3 and I had one… than Daphne dyed it again for me… thanks!

It was a great couple of days look forward to future visits from my parents and anyone else!

Prizes, Tantrums, Gardening,Mother's Day

Yep, as you can tell I uploaded photos from my phone…
the random times I took photos… to capture these precious moments!
Image
Sami was recently diagnosed as High Functioning Autism, and ADHD
I will devote a whole post to this soon…. but she seems to be doing really well in school lately.
She gets to pick prizes and that particular day she  picked this adorable frog that someone made….
she loved it and I was surprised she chose it… she's not a frog kind of girl!
Image
Ezra turns 2 on the 30 and the temper tantrums have been in full force the last couple of weeks.
It seems he started walking and than it was time to turn naughty…
I will video him walking some time but it's cute and I am proud he is finally doing it…
We are already preparing ourselves for Autistic kid #2, he mirrors his sister…
But it's so sad… this day he wanted M & M's and we gave him a few but he wanted more and the world was over… hands over eyes and sobbing…
I would pick him up cuddle him but than he would get down and lean over on the table and cry… so Pathetic and sad… Gee so grateful for these milestones… "NOT"
Image
Cheney is a fun little town, and sometimes they do fun stuff…
last Saturday they had passed out in the elementary schools, a flyer for a free planting Event, at the Local Ace Hardware. So I took these two beauties over and they picked out a pot, a plant and than planted it and than also got a free garden apron, and balsa flying plane… which they brother had fun tearing to tiny pieces over the course of the day…
Image
Sami said it was the best day ever… we also went shopping and got mom's mother's Day Gift… so yeah it was a pretty good day!
Image
(yep, that's pinkie pie, making a cameo appearance)
Image
So as I have gotten older there has been less mystery to what my gifts were going to be, I guess it more or less has been… what do you want… ok, than go buy it, or ok, I'll order it… it's more of what we want and need, not spending money on stuff we don't want… Mostly because I always get Dave stuff he doesn't want and vice versa… but I always encourage a little surprise because it makes him think…
I let him off the hook this year and I got my piano… and I bought myself a new outfit for church… I figured I was good to go… I woke up Sunday morning and I wandered into the kitchen and everyone was pointing at the kitchen table… I looked over and found this waiting for me with a card…
Super sweet…
Dave works on the air force base and in this little mini mall… meaning 4 stores… maybe
well there is always random people selling stuff at booths and a lady was back selling mother's Day baskets… my sweet husband thought of me…
It's a gardening package… It had some fruit flavored chocolate which Dave ate for me, some Lindor Truffles which I love and ate, and some gloves, cookies, lotion… and the container is a planter…
I love the surprise… and will probably always have the planter to remind me of my sweet husband!
Other than that I had a great day and spent Sunday and Monday stuffing my face with a cheesecake plater I got at Safeway… 4 different kinds… It was great… no regrets… kind of! The best part of the day was Dave didn't have morning church meetings so I got to get ready for church with help! and When Ezra filled his pants at church Dave was the one to run home to change him… since we never seem to have the sense to pack diapers and wipes!

Well I hope you all had a Happy mother's Day! I sure did and I get to see my Mommy and Daddy on Friday and get to go to MayFest with them so that is even better!
Nothings better than getting visitors in Cheney!
