Discarded Needles

I'm still not sure if I want to use this design for Needles. The storyline is almost nearing completion. It's a lot tougher to write than I thought. I don't want it to fall into a lame one-on-one tit for tat fight. I'm going for something closer to SPY vs. SPY in tone, which is something I'll probably never achieve because I'm not as clever or crafty as Antonio Prohias!

A Lil' SVA dude who lost his way.

Before entering into the "industry" (god I hate using that word) I worked humbly in the SVA Admissions office, filing papers, stamping mail. On the occasion I was sent down into the Basement of the main building to grab an old file. I drew this card last week for one of my friends who is leaving the Admissions Office. Cheers, Carla!! =)

His name is "Bailey", one of the most bizarre dogs I've ever encountered. A shitzu-pug. My neighbor keeps telling him "it's not a joke anymore" as he teeths at his guests.

Considering that I took my cue from the 50s, 60s design, I decided to fire up a poster with that same aesthetic.

Coffee sketches of the cop and "twisted" crook from my next {hopefully next) short, "Jail-Bait" (title to be changed). I still haven't cracked the story yet; yet I really want to start animating it sometime in the Fall. I've shown an early cut of Flock Off to a few people and to my delight, the word is mixed. Some think it's very funny, some are utterly grossed out. Which is fine by me, it's only 1 minute and it cost me nothing to make. It was just something to keep me busy while the prison story was being fixed. Cool reference point: there's a contortionist outside my apartment by South St. that squeezes himself into a 3' by 2' box every Sunday.

Another scene from FlocK Off. When all else fails, go to the chopsticks. Almost done animating. Then I go on to compositing and the quickest damn sound design/mix ever. For one reason or another the cartoon is turning out a lot nastier than originally intended!
