Unless otherwise specified, the Pokémon of each version are listed in order of capture (as accurately as possible).
Note: I originally planned to play the entirety of ShinyGold. But it's a remake of Gold, the counterpart to Silver which I've already played too many times. I wanted to do a completely new one (to me), hence this one.

In the beginning, Lord Allen of Heaven created the Earth and gave it life, populating it with plants and amoebae that was to grow into animal life. Allen also created the other planets in the solar system and the sun Sol, which he placed Lucifer in charge of. However, *insert conflict here* and Lucifer turned on Allen, who banished him to the Earth for his betrayal. Lucifer dug into the Earth and created Hell, to hide himself from Heaven's observation of the planet. As the amoebae evolved, Lucifer used his own influence to turn them into reptilian beasts (dinosaurs).
After waiting several billion years *insert reason here*, Allen hurled a comet at the Earth, destroying most of the dinosaurs, and created Eden. He populated Eden with his own creations, and took on the guise of a human named Adam, creating a female from his own rib and naming her Eve. Lucifer infiltrated Eden in the form of a snake and persuaded Eve to eat Allen's fruit. Allen revealed himself and fought Lucifer, ordering everyone out of Eden before it was destroyed in the fight. The animals spread across the world in this way.
Many centuries later, humans were beginning to form a society, and Allen created seven Virtues for them to live peacefully by (Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Forgiveness, Kindness and Humility, each represented by an angel who carried the trait and could induce it subconsciously in humans). Lucifer countered by creating seven Deadly Sins (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Vanity, each represented by a demon in the same manner). After his creation of the Virtues, Allen retired and was succeeded by Edward.
Chastity and Vanity engaged in battle, but after *insert battle scene/striptease here* they fell in love, rebelling against their traits (Vanity loving someone other than himself, Chastity... not being chaste). Lucifer learned of their relationship and set out to stop them, and Edward ordered Zest, the nearest angel to the couple, to protect them. Lucifer destroyed Zest (or so he thought) and turned his attack to Chastity. Vanity shielded Chastity from the blast with his own body, but it wasn't sufficient and both were killed. However, Vanity's overwhelming desire to destroy the threat to his loved one and Chastity's desire to protect her loved one resulted in the creation of Infra and Ultra respectively (however, neither of the two know their origin). Edward arrived on the scene and in a fit of rage at Lucifer's actions, used his own life force to seal Lucifer in a chamber below the Earth's crust.
Lucifer found he could contact Hell from his chamber and ordered his followers to retrieve Infra and bring him back to Hell for training. Ultra was adopted by Heaven where he spent a lot of time in the Library, which accounts for his vast knowledge of supernatural beings and occurences.

Elementals Some angels and demons are elementals, and have the ability to control certain elements or substances. Both Infra and Ultra are elementals: Infra controls fire and Ultra water. Some of the Virtues and Sins are elementals too - Wrath is a fire elemental like Infra. Envy may or may not be a plant elemental.
Lords of Heaven It is traditional that when a Lord of Heaven retires he gives his halo to his successor before continuing up the supernatural plane. Edward wore both his own halo and that of Allen; when he sealed Lucifer away they were both retrieved by Zest, who had (somewhat) survived Lucifer's attack, and taken to Henry, who was Edward's successor and current Lord of Heaven in infraRED.
Tri-Medallion So named until I think of something better. A Tri-Medallion is created by Poseidon (god of the seas), Gaia (god of the earth) and Aether (god of the sky), and one who wears a Tri-Medallion is protected once in a situation in which (s)he would otherwise be killed (aside from natural death, ie old age). Partial medallions can be made if only two or one of the gods makes it. Each god, as well as representing sea, earth and air, represents mind, body and spirit (I don't know which represents which yet, so shut up), so a Partial medallion will protect two or one of these from death, resulting in the wearer leading an "incomplete" life. Zest is one example of this; having a Partial medallion when Lucifer attacked him, his spirit was protected but he lost his mind and body. As a result he is both invisible and intangible (he can manipulate objects to show himself though, such as Ultra's staff) and seems to be calm in any situation due to the loss of his mind and emotions.
