Kai's first pow wow...was held in Seattle at UW. this week scared us with a hive/rash/welt breakout that is suspected to be an allergy to strawberries. we ordered a new car seat but still has a little while before he outgrows his old one height & weight wise.
Meganne...went to visit her mom, sisters & family for spring break.

we are going to the mariners game next week.

March

Brian...same job, same truck, yeah...not much new.
Marci...same job (SAHM), same SUV, yeah...not much new for me either.
Meganne...playing fastpitch softball at school, getting drive time in with permit.
Kai...new things happening everyday it seems. crawling on all fours when he doesnt have a wall, couch, table or leg to use to stand up and move along it. not able to stand by himself or walk. has 6 teeth still. eating solids fruits, veggies, snacks.

FEBRUARY

Nothing really new for Brian and myself at this time. He still goes to work everyday and I stay home watching Kai and trying to keep up on housework.

Meganne: just finished the first semester of her junior year in highschool, started traffic safety classes, and is conditioning to possibly play fastpitch at school. During mid-winter break she will be flying to see her mom & family & friends.

Kai: Just turned 8 months old and is chowing down on all different kinds of solid foods, army crawling around the house and gets up to all fours but can't quite figure out how to crawl at that point, finally got professional pictures taken but they won't be back for a couple weeks. Next appointment (9 month check up) is on February 15th. yay...no vaccines at that time, not until he turns 1 yr at the end of May.

It seems as though everyone else has been getting snow except us. It did snow a tiny bit on christmas day and then once or twice since then but nothing has really stuck. Our hot tub is finally up and running as of a week ago.

2008

Looking back...

At this time last year I was working part-time nights in the clothing department at Fred Meyer and taking online classes through Pierce College. Brian had been working at an engineering firm in Bellevue for a couple months. Brian and I were living in a two bedroom apartment with our two cats and I was five months pregnant. For New Year's I left work early because I didn't feel well and ended up curled on the couch watching the countdown on tv and hearing the fireworks outside. I was learning how to change my page on Myspace and contact friends/family who lived out of state. This picture was taken on 1/6/07 when we invited my parents over for dinner at our place.

Fast forward to the present...

I am currently a stay at home mommy. I finished my classes at Pierce College and now have my AA degree. We (brian, meganne, kai, and myself) all moved into a three bedroom house along with those same cats. For New Year's Kai didn't feel well and fought for three hours to go to bed. We watched the fireworks outside the window then fell asleep. In the middle of the night I woke up with a sore throat, headache, and cough. We are both still a little sick as of today. My throat hurts off/on and he has a runny nose. Now I am learning about editing my blog and making it easier for friends/family to read & see pictures about what is going on without having a Myspace account.
