Pregnancy Update

The last time I blogged about my pregnancy I was 12 weeks and as of today I am 28 weeks and in the 3rd trimester!
I had a crappy first trimester and first half of 2nd trimester. I had horrible headaches, horrible!! Was super nauseous, the only thing that made me feel better was laying down, zofran, and eating if I could find something that tasted good. I didn't really crave anything that first trimester just whatever sounded good I ate, because well, not much sounded good. I also had horrible cramping/contractions and bleeding/spotting. My Dr kept a close eye on me and told me to take it easy. There was never anything to worry about, no placental bleeding like with Harry but it was still scary. There was just always some irritation to my cervix. I finally started to feel better about 19 weeks or so.

We were told at our 16 week appointment we were probably having a boy. We were shocked because we all thought we were having a girl. Lots of reasons why, but ya, shocked.
Well, then a week later or so I started to have more problems, bleeding so I went in to the Dr again and he did another US and this time he couldn't see any "boy" parts so he said, I think it may be a girl.  See below? In one photo big boy parts in another no parts.
So he told us to wait till our 20 week appointment with the specialist and he'd get a better idea then. But I couldn't get it out of my mind that I may be having a girl.
Well, we went for the big US and everything went great. Baby was measuring right on schedule. And then it came time to see if it was a boy or girl. We told her what had happened and she said well, its a boy! There was no mistaking it. He must've been hiding at the one appointment. We were shocked but excited! Trent was a little sad, he totally thought it was a girl.
Then the specialist came into see us. She was acting weird. Trent and I kept looking at each other and wondering what was going on. Then she finally asked me to tell her about my past pregnancies.  I explained how I had great pregnancy and deliveries with Hudson and Ruby (except for typical nausea, headaches, stuff like that). And then explained what happened with Harry as she read through some notes on it. Then she asked about all the weights of my babies and when they were born. I said Hudson was 2 weeks early on his own and 7 lbs 5 oz, Ruby was 1 week early and 7 lbs 13 oz and Finn was 4 days early and 6 lbs 9 oz. My smallest baby and in the longest.  She explained how she was a bit concerned that after what happened to my body with Harry that my body may not be working right toward the end of the pregnancy and talked about how small Finn was and looked for his age.  Of course he made up for that fast!
She said she wanted to keep a close eye on me and the baby toward the end of the pregnancy and make sure he was growing and getting what he needed.
So not a big concern but just weird! So we'll see what happens but so far so good!

28 weeks and in the 3rd trimester today!

Yikes I've really popped out!!! Why is gaining weight during pregnancy so hard?
I work sooo hard to get it off, but man its no fun to gain. And yes I gain weight. I'm not one to gain only 5-10lbs, I usually gain 30-40lbs so hopefully I stay in the low range of that. I gained 42 with Hudson, yikes! I think because he was my first baby and I worked all day I just ate junk and whatever they had at work, which was usually donuts, cookies, and fast food. I gained 38 with Ruby, and 34 with Finn. So we'll see where this lil guy takes me. No fun getting it off though.

I had my 28 week, 3rd trimester appointment today and everything went great. Gaining weight like a champ! Blood pressure low as always 100/68, baby looks great, measuring exactly 28 weeks where normally at this stage I'm measuring about a week ahead. But he said so far so good. I took the glucose test today, ugh hate that but all went well.
I now start to go every 3 weeks then 2 weeks then 1, the countdown has almost begun!!
I'm getting so anxious but for some reason don't feel ready for him to come. I have so much to do. Need to figure out where Finn is going to go, share with Hudson? Stay in his room and move office and put baby in office? Decisions. Dr said he could come at the end of March, yikes! not far at all!
And no name yet.  I still have about the same list as I did with Finn, a few new and but mostly the same. SO help !!
The kids are dead set on Henry Lincoln.
So here's the list:

Henry (great grandpa's name, Love the nickname Hank, kids have him named already)
Lincoln(LOVE right now but don't like nickname Linc)
Shepherd( wanted to name Finn this but he just wasn't a Shepherd. Think Shep is a cute nickname)
Bronson-(used to love, fits with the boy names we have but not loving now)
Sullivan-(cute, love nickname Sully)
Sawyer-(used to LOVE but not so sure anymore. No nickname)
Oh and yes I"m into nicknames, love them!!!
I was dead set on Henry until I heard how popular it was. And then I loved Bronson, but now not so much, I'm leaning toward Lincoln, but don't love the nickname Linc, so we'll see. I just hope I make a decision on his name faster than I did with Griffin. It took us almost a week!!!

New Years

New Years was fun this year. My sisters and I took our kids to the Tree house to celebrate New Years at Noon. The kids all got a bag full of stuff and had the countdown. Then they played like crazy for a few hours. A perfect day!
Image
We couldn't find Ruby for awhile, and then Trent found her on the horse!
Image

That night Amy had a New Years party and we all brought treats. This was the only picture I got all night of course, but we had fun.  We tricked the kids and celebrated at 9:00.  They didn't know! I didn't feel well and everyone was tired. This was the first year in a long time that I went to bed before midnight on New Years but I didn't care. And same with the kids, the last few years we've let them stay up.

On New Years day we went over to Trents sisters house and the kids and guys all went four wheeling sledding on their farm. It was seriously 10 degree's but they didn't care. Why don't kids care? I stayed inside warm by the fire and helped make lunch with the other moms.
Image
I wasn't sure how long Finn would last but Trent didn't bring him in for at least an hour. He loved riding with his dad.
Image
Some of the cousins all bundled up on the back of the Rhino.
Image
Everyone came in for hot chocolate and Navajo tacos and a movie by the fire.  Finn was all relaxed!
It was a great New Years day and we look forward to a great year!

Christmas 2012

We had the most perfect Christmas this year.
We were so blessed to have so many people show us the true meaning of Christmas and Giving.
But the best present of all was, Trent got a job right before Christmas and started working at the first of the year.
We aren't moving out of the state or Country like we thought we would be, but actually are staying put right here in O-town, at least for now. It isn't the amazing job we were hoping for with the pay we were hoping for, for someone with his schooling and resume but its a job none the less and he works with a great friend of his, great people and he really likes it.  It has insurance and great potential.
Its with a company called, Red Apple and he is a business and finance manager for local charter schools.
He will still teach Spanish at Weber State University 2 nights a week and his business is still around. He is still in the process of trying to decide what to do with it.
Its been an adjustment having him gone, but its been good. I am so proud of him and all his hard work and love him. I can't wait to see what the future holds and to see where our family goes from here in the next couple years.

We had a wonderful Christmas full of family, friends, good health!
 We are so blessed!

Image
My cute Christmas kids! They wore their clothes from the wedding which turned out perfect!
Image
Hudson got an ok picture of Trent and I!
Image
Christmas Eve was spent with my family, we had a great dinner, sung song while Trent accompanied us on the guitar and Ruby sang a few songs.
Image
Then all the Speechly Grand kids tried to do the nativity, this year didn't work so well, lil stinkers, but they were still so dang cute. And I'm excited next year my lil guy gets to play baby Jesus.
Image
My cute Christmas babies on Christmas morning in their Christmas pj's waiting to go open presents.
Of course Finn has his cars in his hands!
Image
Hudson had been begging for years for a Nintendo DS but Trent and I just never wanted to get him one. He has a wii and plays that enough.  And plus they are expensive and I didn't want one more thing to buy $40 games for.  Well on Thanksgiving, one of those coupon blogs, blogged about some good deals going on and said there was a refurbished Nook directly from Barnes and Noble for sale for $50, normally $160 or more! I talked to Trent about it and we felt it was perfect for Hudson. He loves to read and this way he could read, play games, and watch shows/movies all on one device! Perfect! He was totally not expecting it and was shocked! We got a killer deal and it came directly from the manufacturer so it was guaranteed! SCORE!
And then Ruby had been begging for an Easy Bake oven and she was shocked as well!
Image
I did some major bargain shopping this Christmas.
I found this almost brand new Train table on KSL for $25 back in September and had been saving it for Christmas!!! I love that is has storage on the side!
And the present Finn is opening up is a wooden train set that I actually bought after Christmas 2 years ago on clearance and have been saving till he was old enough. He was so excited and loves it!
Image
Finn loved finding stuff in his stocking!
Which by the way I got these pottery barn stockings, brand new at downeast for $3 a piece! There just so happened to be one with Finn's name on it already!

Image
The one thing I was dying to buy Finn for Christmas was this Woody doll. My friend has one and every time he goes over there its the first thing he grabs to play with.  He loves it and well as you can see he has his "Cowboy Woody" attire on. We got him a new hat and belt with holster because he wore the other one so much.
Image
This is a dorky present of me, but so dang funny I had to document.
My brother in law Clayton had me for Christmas, he's 26 I think and single, lives alone and he is so dang funny. We were all wondering why he waited till the last minute to wrap his present.  He handed it to me and when I opened it I understood. I laughed so hard. He said it was a pregnancy survival kit! He got me a thing of ice cream, pickles, a larger than life Reese's, and the movie, "Look Whose Talking". So dang funny and creative!

Winter Instagram dump

We were so blessed this year to have so many people give and show my family the true meaning of Christmas! It was so overwhelming and humbling and I hope to someday be able to give back in the way others gave to us!
Image
Hudson had another successful Suzuki Piano Recital and did great! He even got an award this time for finishing a book!
Image
Finn got a hair cut and with my boys that comes with tears the whole time! I would LOVE to grow my boys hair out and we have a lil but they have such thick straight hair it just doesn't do anything but hang.  So Trent usually just cuts it. Oh well, they are still cute.
Image
Typical dad shot, sleeping with the remote in hand.
Image
My kids had the three girl cousins, all the same age for Christmas this year, so, thanks to pinterest, I found the cutest owl pillow pattern. I added a pocket to the front and filled it with some goodies. I just used my scrap minky and they turned out sooo cute! Ruby is begging for one herself.  I guess I need to get sewing.
Image
Ruby started indoor soccer. She was a little hesitant at first, I just think she didn't really know what to expect but she loves it. And actually is so much better at it than outdoor or its just the fact that she's older. The coach even put her in as goalie and she stopped 2 goals! I just wish Hudson was on a team.
Image
Random shot of my little Eskimo.
Image
Yet another note from Hudson. This time addressed to Trent. I guess when Hudson is in the master bathroom shower, Trent will tease him and turn off the light. So Hudson made sure he didn't do it again.
Image
My lil Ruby has been a sleepy head lately. One day Trent was working in his office and Ruby came in with a pillow, her blanket and wolfy and said, I'm gonna take a nap while you work dad. She as out cold for 2 hours.

Birthday Girl turns 6!

Image
I still can't believe my baby girl turned 6 in December! Yes I call all my kids, my babies, because they are!
She was so excited to get the brave doll and horse and dvd!
Image
I took Ruby on a little date, she chose Zupa's and then we went shopping for some new birthday clothes! Its so fun to have a little shopping buddy! She likes it most of the time.
Image
She had a family party on her actual birthday and wanted a Lalaloopsy cake!

Image
I think its the cutest cake my moms made so far! And its perfect for Ruby because we call her Ruby Lala. She is such a lala head! She loves to play by herself and is so quiet and spacey! We love her!
Image
The next morning she had a friend Pancakes and Pajama's party! She had been wanting a friend party for a few years now. I always struggle with having a birthday party for her seeing as her birthday is only a few days before Christmas but it worked out this year!
Image
She invited I think 12 girls, I was a little worried as to how it turn out, seeing as I had a birthday party for Hudson this summer with over 12, 8 year old boys. Lets just say, the girl party was so quiet and fun and well, easy! I'm just glad my boys have summer birthdays so their parties can be outside.

Image
The girls colored their placement while they waited for everyone to arrive.
Image
We had a milk bar where they could mix their own milk, plain, strawberry or chocolate.
Image
 Then they made cereal necklaces.
Image
And then we had birthday cake pancakes. With different kinds of syrup, whip cream and sprinkles! Ruby said it was perfect!

Image
Everyone wore their pj's and it was so fun!

Well, my lil bro and last sibling got married on December 18th.  I mean really? How gets married right before Christmas. Oh ya, ME! (12/20/02). The wedding was beautiful down at the Salt Lake Temple and Megan was stunning in her dress! Jeff wasn't too bad looking either in his suit.
Image
All the Speechly Grandkids. They were such troopers, it was sooo cold. Like seriously freezing. There was a breeze and a lil bit of snow, but we all survived pictures. Megan sure joined a crazy, big family!

Image
 Handsome boys!
