independent eating is possible!
Pediatrics
Obi transforms the lives of our pediatric users in numerous ways. Many of our pediatric users rename Obi (like Will who calls his Wall-E) and they use the device at school and home.
Without the shadow of a caregiver, our pediatric users are able to enjoy the important social aspect of eating with friends and family with confidence and autonomy to choose what they eat and when.
Obi at School
From elementary to university, we have many users who eat with Obi at school!
OBI AT UNIVERSITY
When I used it for the first time, it made me feel like I could be really independent with feeding myself,” said Davis. “It was like, ‘Hey, I might be able to use this to go eat with my friends and not have to rely on other people to help feed me.
– Sarah at Wright State University
“Lunchtime is such an important time of day for students. It gives them an opportunity to socialize with peers, take a break from academics, and fuel their bodies.”
-Kristen, Elementary Teacher
OBI IN GRADE SCHOOL
“I really, really see how much it changes things for him in the conversations he’s able to have and the interactions with his peers he’s able to have when there isn’t an adult shadowing him.”
– Heath’s Mother
