UC366 - 60s (mostly) uncomped; US Garage Gems, Pt. 63
hI told you the United States is a vast trerritory gifted all over by pits and gold mines (read: collectors, youtube slots, blogs) of Garage Nuggets. Since our last US Garage gems installment many new (read: uncompiled, overseen and forgotten tracks) have been unearthed and most names of bands and artists were unknown to me leaving blank spots and question marks. On this new set, once again my idea of Garage might be a little larger than usual, and you might argue The Dynamics and Jim Dandy are a bit out of scope, though I think they ear some similar spirit in ,it and are a nice hear, even for Garage fundamentalists. And I’m sure you swill dig the Teamates, and Sweet Nuthin’, right? Enjoy!. 01/ Jerry Woodard & Esquires - Boat of Love - US, ?02/Renegades - Come On Out - US, WI03/Dynamics - I'm The Man - US, MI04/ Dynamics - Misery - US, MI05/ Teemates - No More Tomorrows - US, NJ06/ Expressions - Playbos - US, TX07/ Kingsmen - De Boom Le Boom - US, OR08/ Kirby Leigh - Lonely Walking Blues - US, ?09/ Mark Five - Who Made Lonely - US, WA10/ Sas - Shades - Folks InTown - US, PA11/ Variations - No other Woman - US, ?12/ Savages - Everynight - US, FL13/ Rovin' Kind - Night People - US, IL14/ Sweet Nothin' - I just wanna make love to you - US, PA15/ Sweet Nothin' - Silly Games - US, PA16/ Sweet Nothin' - Four in the Morning - US, PA17/ Terry Woodford - Gonna Make You Say Yeah - US, ?18/ Zoo - Öost Dreams - US, MO19/ Evil - I want out - US, ?20/ [unknown] - Everybody's Got To Know - US, ?21/ [unknown] - The Man Who Hears A Different Drummer - US, ?22/ All Of Thus - Artificial Lies - US, NY23/ Black Narcosis - Everybody's Blind - US, MI24/ Bridge - Independence Center - US, ?25/ Condello - Longer and harder - US, CA26/ Hello People - (As, I Went Down To) Jerusalem - US, NY27/ Jim Dandy & Sugar Beats - Bring Us Together - US, ?28/ Last Word - Hot Summer Days - US, NY Desperate tunes in comments

UC365 60s (mostly) uncomped; Scraping The Beer-Beat-Barrel, Teil 16
So I’ve been s craping again. Down to the bottom of the German Beat & Schlager barrel indeed, I found some old but eternal Rockabilly stars in their pre-beat days, some (in-) famous Schlagerstars, many budget Beaters plus unknown groups and exiting songs I had never heard before. This time, Swiss and Austrian groups a part art, many artists from all corners of the word have come over to sink their teeth into the German Beat cake (or wasn’t that a Beer barrel we’re talking of, was it?) So, quite exceptionally, this installments features artists from South Africa , Louisiana, the UK, Holland, a even a member of the Royal Family of the Bulgarian Szar. All singing perfectly (at least, quite) in the sweet German language. What more would you want? (PS: I hope you’ll understand the funny German lyrics) (PPS: I am sorry for the bad audio, sometimes as the originals on Polydor must have suonded / pounded much better…) 01/ Tramps, Die - Baby Doll - D02/ Nora Nova - Immer aud die alte Tour - BG / GDR03/ John Lamers - Ein bisschen schick muss sie sein - NL04/ Ted Herold - Little Linda - D05/ Fats & His Cats - Hello – D06/ Ted Herold – Little Linda – D07/ Fats & His Cats –Hello - D08/ Peter Safary & Conquerers - Manhattan - Tango - NL09/ Peter Safary & Conquerers - Bye Bye Johnny - NL10/Gene Williams - Auf diese Show fall ich nicht rein - ZA / D11/ Jack Hammer - Die schöne Lola - US, LA12/ Peter Reese & Pages - Tallahassie Lassie - D13/ Trea Dobbs - Zähl auf mich - NL14/ Harry Diewald & Ronny Peller - Ciao Ciao Finito Goodbye - CH15/ Harry Diewald & Ronny Peller - Okay, Okay - CH16/ Harry Diewald & Ronny Peller - Wann - CH17/ Tommy Kent - Sag endlich ja - D18/ Chains - Love Is Strange - D19/ Fats & His Cats & Inge Brandenburg - Hey Baby - D20/ Beatniks - On A Blue Day - AUS21/ Caravelles - Darauf Fall' Ich Nicht Rein - UK22/ Pick-ups - Things I wanna Do - D23/ Tony Tornado - Es kam wie ein Blitz - D24/ Gene Williams - My Soul Is Black - ZA / D 25/ [unknown] - So Kann Das Nicht Weitergeh'n - D 26/ Ekkehard Sander Septett - Erzähl mir von Dir - GDR27/ Iguana Sound - Iguana - D Beer Beat in Kommentaren!

eYeGeNeYe presents: modbeat66 - UK acetates
Honestly, I think this set is the rarest of all installments I ever posted, maybe. I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears when I spotted a whole bunch of acetates, demo records and private pressings all from the UK. modbeat66 has run a unique yt channel full of gems that were never released or published before, except those acetates. Unfortunately, our anonymous man doesn’t get back to any comments and I think he must be a leading collector (with great taste). You surely will find more gems at his channel. I’ve put them in an alphabetic title order, and the menu varies from early RnR, pre Beat, Garage, Mod and Psyche. Of course genres vary a lot if you’re digging for acetates, and the sound quality will vary as well, so do not complain, you get what there is or you’ll miss it. eYeGeNeYe presents: Frernch FreakBeat Poets
Ho! He! Hein! Bon! What’s the craziest, wackiest, freakiest nation in 60s Pop music? I got no doubt: France is No. 1! I’m not sure if an 8(?) yo boy named Michel V, and a turkish YeYe Yeti can be part of the French Freakbeat scene, but, on the other hand, we’re in the land of unhinged Poetry, wild bohemian crayzness, Surrealism and Dada. So let’s welcome them all in the provocative but elegant night club opend by Jacques Dutronc and his his friens including some old chansonniers. My only regret is is I don’t understand every line of the freaky beatsongs. I just get it’s about any issue trespassing bounderies widely and packing iin words about religion, society, philosophy, Eunuques;the H bomb, Asterix, LSD, horses and Jou-Jou Gods, you name it (“My belt, Daddy / I’m so afraid Mama”). Et allors? Je chante donc je suis! t Oilà! PS most pieces were taken from the wonderfuk youtube channel MrNoonification and you might find many live clips there. Beat Wunderbar; Un - Lost Tommyknockers; RiP 20 a/b
…and the Beat goes on! This double set should have been better named “UK Tommyknockers from Jaime Roviralto" since the bulk of the tracks I picked was posted on his youtubechannel (and also Vintage Vinyl Via Valves et al. mentioned in the booklet). In these goldmines I found rare underrated or never released rarities by minor groups that are well worth a spin I reckon. I have also added a few tracks from pretty unknown groups from Portsmouth (see the nice website at www.michaelcooper.org.uk . Anyway, a glance on the serious and strictly blue/black/ yellow UK labels (unlike US labels that sport Fantasy names and flashy colours) will show the difference: So expect 50 examples of pure British Beat, sometimes innocent, sometimes moody, and another forgotten chapter of "Invasion Beat" from Ol’ Blighty. We will meet many unlucky combos who missed their big hit or suffered unsuccessful follow ups (whereas now this vinyl fetches big prizes at auctions). . I see that Jaime, Valves and many others keep on posting new jewels, so hopefully there might be a next Tommyknockers sequel soon. In the meantime, have some fish&chips and a nice Lager and don’t forget the 5 °clock Stardust tea! UC364 – 60s (mostly) Uncomped – US Garage Gems, pts 62 a/b
I I admit this is not a compilation of straight Garage Fuzz as both CDs start with a stack of ole platters that were played on jukeboxes during the 50s so Rockers and Rockabilly Rousers would boast “…We did that Garage thing 10 years before !”, and I guess they were bloody right (as my selection hopefully will prove). When I lean my weary ears to the scratchy sounds, I get the conviction that early 60 bands of unknown youngsters wouldn’t have sounded much differently in their garages, so let’s welcome the Rockies as the fore fathers of Garage Beat Bands. The rest of this installment spans from solid Beat to wild (and sometimes, mild) psychedelia , I’m sure you’ll dig (even the Peels, eventually). The first song apart, all other tunes have never been compiled before, not even on “private” comps, my own installments included. A glance on the tracklist will give you an idea about the rareness grade of my double set’s artists. My thanks go out to the community of 1st connaisseur you tubers, mostly Fonsoul bcn, Tallmark, Benjamin Shilman, Dal Duncan, Lexingontunes, GarageHangOver, and many more I mentioned (and quoted) in the booklet. eYeGeNeYe presents: Flop Top Beer, pt. 4a/b
More sure kicks from the big anonymous at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4avffycE3aji8znz-oY5mQ/featured) aka Mr. FlopTopBeer. There’s not even one single comment to his various postings, neither by the man (or woman?) his/herself nor by any listener. Looks like Mr. FlopTop cancels them, I wrote 3 times but he never got back. At any rate, I don’t complain but enjoy his offerings of rare 45s, picking the best (ie. most garagy) tracks out of the pot of C&W and Rockabilly tunes. eyegeneyepresents: 45sUS, pt. 2
So here we are back again with another load of really rare US 45s and I can’ tell how happy I’m about it! Usually I don’t present collections that all come from the same source, but these tracks are ultra rare and I could pick 30 from 50, so I could’t resist the temptation . As with volume 1, the same receipt is followed picking songs from mainly the late end of the 6os (68 / 69), that probably can be best filed under Past Pop Psychedelia. Well crafted with some clever songwriting and / or arrangement, aiming for commercial success (which never happened, of course). So, once again get ready for some orchestrated adventures, heavy on acoustic guitars, magic flutes, trippy harpsichord and even a wacky banjo. Never like CCR tho’ and never like old hippy Hendrix. And no folky frizzle around here, guaranteed!
