I thought I had given up all hope to ever update this thing again. I am no means going to try to catch up but I should at least do a little something for December. So, here goes nothin'...
Since I haven't been doing dance as much I knew I needed to stay in touch with my girls. We swore we would do Girls' Night and we have actually been really good at it!! In December we made these super easy and cute ornament wreaths. I did mine blue and brown so I could leave it up through January. I love how they turned out.
We finally got our tree up around the middle of December. Dax picked out his own penguin ornament and actually did pretty well about staying away from the tree. I considered it not falling on top of him a huge success.
However, two flat tires in December was not so fun. Luckily Mark was available to save the day both times (thank heavens for that yoga mat!).
We went and saw Zoo Lights to try and get into the holiday spirit. I'm not sure if Dax could even see them he was so bundled up.
My brother Jordan and his wife Natalie had their first little baby girl, Maggie. She had to be in the NICU for a week but they still made it home for Christmas!!
Christmas was magical.
Dad had his office movie premier of "The Hobbit". He was such a good sport and even dressed up as Gandolf. It was a hit!!
Mom celebrated a big birthday 3 days after Christmas!!
Our little Squish is getting so big. I love him more and more every day. It is so fun to watch him grow and develop. I liked the teeny tiny newborn stage but I think to myself almost everyday how much more I enjoy him now.
Dax eats just about anything we eat and will feed himself as long as its on a flat surface. If you put it in a bowl he flips and won't put his hands in. He's a nut! We've started giving him a spoon and he will finally hold on to that and eat with the other hand.
He still only has 2 teeth although I'm thinking he's working on a few more right now. (Heaven help us!)
He is getting more of a personality and can be a little defiant.
He sleeps like a champ usually 9:00pm-9:00am and still takes 2 naps a day.
He has mastered army crawling but refuses to get up on his hands and knees. He can stand for a few seconds on his own and loves to walk around with you holding his hands. He has no balance though so I think we are still going to be a while until we walk. He hasn't shown any interest on pulling up on anything and LOVES balls.
Mark can get him to say "Mama", "Dada", and "Hi". He will mimic just about any grunt or noise you make if he's in the mood. He can give high fives and will sometimes wave.
He is still a very happy, social little boy and loves to play with other kids.
Happy 11 months baby boy!!
