Y’know…

I find it interesting that all the ICE crap started blowing up just a bit after the Somali welfare fraud (that we have known about for several years, but that for some reason the Federal government, as well as several state governments (besides Minnesota) have been quietly ignoring) got exposed by a YouTube journalist….

Almost as if they are trying to make us forget about the BILLIONS of dollars that are defrauded every year from the states and the Federal government and shipped (as cash) overseas….

I think they are hoping that they can distract us with the ICE “abuses” and that we will forget the rest.

Strange that. Almost as if they are getting their cut or something. Odd…

But, like Pepperidge Farm, I remember.

Y’know….

(Note: Messing with the ICE folks is gonna get someone hurt…..)

All you ICE protesters: Be committed to change, not just winy protests and complaining like 8th grade girls.

If the protesters against ICE (currently in Minneapolis) really had any guts, and really wanted to make a difference, they’d step up and actually DO something….put their bodies in front of the ICE agents…Or start bringing baseball and golf equipment to their protests for kinetic demonstrations of their disapproval. If they really want to dissuade the ICE agents, they need to become more serious about it. ( Note: It is NOT a good idea to do so). Protesting is useless.  Action makes a difference. Maybe fight back with your own pepper spray and pepperball guns. Stand for something. (Warning, this might get you shot or worse)

They could, at least for a time, make a change……..rather than just wasting their time blowing whistles, honking horns, chanting, etc…Being what they think of as brave Protest Warriors, (and ineffective ones at that) isn’t gonna do anything.  Either step up and DO something, or go home. You aren’t all that brave and are not at all effective doing the things you are doing. So stop being a pain in the ass and make a difference. (Might get your ass kicked)

There always seem to be about 5 times the protesters than there are ICE agents. They need to step up  and make it personal  …they could pile on, get physical, and actually make a difference (for a time). OF course, that might escalate things, but still. As long as they are just an irritation, they won’t change things. (starting stuff with armed men, unless you have overwhelming force, is probably a bad idea). But stop just protesting and being a useless pain in the ass. Stop just chanting and shouting slogans and insults and make a difference with action, or go home.  Get in or get out (I suggest the smart thing to do is get out, go home….)

Will that change the equation? Yes, but it would also actually be DOING something, not just being a pain in the ass.

What you are doing now, no matter how good it makes you feel is useless and a waste of time. You aren’t saving anyone this way.

Step up or step off, as it were.

Crying Wolf

So I got an Emergency Alert on my phone today. Tones, flashing light, etc.

Of course, I grabbed the phone and looked at it straight away.

It was warning me that there might be some heavy snow and high winds starting this afternoon in my county…Really not an “emergency” and really not something to use the Emergency Alert system for.

It is a good way to get me and people like me to turn off the Emergency Alerts notification entirely……

If you want a system like that and don’t want people to ignore it, whoever is in charge needs to use a modicum of intelligence as to WHEN to use it.  Like when there is an actual or pending EMERGENCY. This is NW Indiana…we get snow, even lake effect snow, in the winter.  It happens every year. Not an Emergency. It is forecast on all 4 major networks and on the radio. Either way, not what I consider an emergency.

I’m really surprised it didn’t advise me to rush out to the store and get milk and bread.

Last time I got a useless alert was when some stupid bint in the health department decided that it would be a good idea to use the Emergency Alert system to remind me (several times) that I needed to get a Covid jab. I and a whole bunch of others complained about that one and I heard she got her access taken away.

The current excuse

for Agent Ross’s actions seems to be that “Last year he was dragged 200 yards by an arrestee trying to escape”.

This, however does not make a good reason for shooting Ms Good….In fact, it undermines their whole “state of mind” argument.

If he was still disturbed by the prior incident, was his judgement rational? (IF , and it is an IF, we accept that he was, in fact, in fear for his life)…Was his judgement sound? Or was it affected by and based upon PTSD from last year’s incident…, which would make him unfit for such duty as he was on that day,  as his judgement was impaired by previous experiences…..

Not saying this was so, but the excuse about the dragging incident doesn’t help his case….

OOPS!

So I am scanning channels today, and CBS has a show called “FBI”.

Not sure exactly, but it appeared to be something about a militia and a standoff with the FBI and some other Fed police tactical types.

BOTH sides were carrying firearms, but both the tac guys AND the militia were carrying AR-style rifles….with bare full length picatinny rails. No iron sights, not even folded backups….no optics either.  Like at least 5 guns on each side with just bare rails.

Sad, really. I bet the city folks that watch this show are impressed with the scary looking Black Guns.

I find it both amusing and disgusting that they can do a TV show with such obvious prop flaws.
