About Us

The Latino Migration Project is an engaged curricular program dedicated to improving public understanding about the expanding Latin American presence in North Carolina and the Southeastern United States. The Latino Migration Project was established in 2008 and is an initiative of the Institute for the Study of the Americas at UNC Chapel Hill.

Student Trip to Costa Rica
Migration and the environment is an important theme of a new UNC Latin American Studies academic program that launched its inaugural trip over spring break with a team of ten students and staff from the Institute for the Study of the Americas.
