The Clubhouse

There are times when you know you were meant to be together.

The D Dock Clubhouse!

She came with her own lines.

 Image
And a room with a view.

The patio has many options, including a possible water slide.

It's just a shame she sold today.  Live well.

Sea Shell Sail

In search of photos of recent Sandy damage,
I managed to only capture some of the beauty left behind.
These are from early January, several months after the storm.

Bay Rhumb Runner

Image
It's always a good day of sailing
when friends are nearby.

Image
The Rhumb runners were out and we let
them pass by (it made them feel better).

Image
Sailing off into the sunset.
Ahhh, friends.

Challenge Cup 2011

Image
Challenge Cup 2011
12 boats total
6 from Tall Oaks Yacht Club
6 from Cedar Creek Marina

Image

Image
The course was set, as shown on the
back of Antny's shirt.

Image
As we left the slip, our
captain had a few stories to tell.

Image
Objects in mirror are NOT
as close as they appear!

Image
Just behind us was Escapade
swapping places with us a few times.

Image

Image
And Fifty-Fifty who passed us on the next-to-last leg.

Image
Off our bow, to port, is Mr. Mylar (lead boat).

Image
What they do on the other boats during a race,
does not STAY on the other boats.

Image
Not in the race, but still a nice view.

Bob breaks out a couple of PBR's for
himself to celebrate our 4th place finish.

The captain and his lovely wife, our hosts.
Thanks for "how goddamn good it felt to sail well".

Image
Tall Oaks Yacht Club captured the Challenge Cup again!
Fifty-Fifty with a corrected time took the cup (from Mr. Mylar),
with Escapade in 3rd and Bay Rhumb bringing in
a very respectable 4th place finish.
