About Millsted Care

Who we are

Millsted Care was founded in 1997 by Chris & Mike Millsted, to provide a residential service for adults with a learning disability. Drawing upon over 40 years’ experience in the care sector, Chris Millsted redefined what residential care looked like. Millsted Care is now a leading provider in person-centred care, in both residential care and day care provision.

What we offer

Following the success of our first residential home in Surrey which opened in 1997, we expanded to open a second home in 2001. Having helped the residents access a wide variety of day services over the years, Millsted Care opened Dayspace Caterham in 2011, Dayspace Reigate in 2017 and Dayspace Penge in 2021. Dayspace is a hugely popular day service offering sociable and creative activities for adults with a learning disability.

Our Ethos

Our core value is to develop each individual’s potential, by providing homes which offer communal living, a vibrant social life and the encouragement of independence. We recognise that everyone has unique needs, abilities and interests so we work hard to create and develop outstanding services for people within the learning disability community.
