While the IUD device itself is free under BC’s provincial health plan, naturopathic consultations and procedures are not covered by MSP. Here’s a breakdown of our pricing:
- IUD Screening Consultation – $75
- IUD Insertion or Replacement – $250
- IUD Removal – $130
- IUD Ultrasound Check – $95
Our IUD clinic in Vancouver is staffed by licensed naturopathic doctors certified to prescribe and perform IUD procedures with the same level of expertise you’d expect in a gynecology clinic. The Mint Elevated IUD Experience is here to make sure you feel informed, empowered, and truly cared for.
After your IUD insertion, you might experience light cramping, spotting, or mild discomfort. This is normal and usually subsides within a few days.
We do check in appointments and ultrasound at 4-6 weeks for all of our patients. If the IUD is not right for you, we can often take it out the same day, or plan to monitor more closely.
The procedure itself typically takes 10–15 minutes, and the entire visit is under 30 minutes including prep and recovery time.
If an IUD isn’t right for you, we also offer birth control prescriptions in Vancouver, including birth control pills. Our team can discuss the best options for your reproductive health.
