Being Crafty

Every once in awhile I decide that I will actually be crafty and pull out all the craft stuff and accomplish something. I did remember why I don't pull it out and also why I miss this. I had a friend that had a baby girl 9 months ago and then Liz had a baby girl 2 weeks ago and I really wanted to make them the frame bow holders. Usually I just go to DI and buy a cheep frame but was having a hard time finding them in the price range. It also helps if you go more often but anyways I finally decided to kick myself into gear and just do it already. I went and bought the wood and Aaron got them cut then I got them together. I am very pleased with the result. Which is why I posted this. I had tons of fun making them and If anyone is interested let me know. I can help you make one or make you one. Depending on my mood. :) They ended up costing less then 8 dollars each even with the letters. (Also note to the family if you have a girl they will most likely get one for their birthdays this year. Like Karen, Bridgette, Amelia )

Getting out....

With this stupid weather we haven't really done much but here is what we have been up to.
Last Monday we took our little family to see my brothers family and we went to the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point. Our kid is obsessed with dinosaurs right now. We had to buy a book that had the names because he kept asking us its name and we had to keep saying dinosaur, baby dinosaur, big dinosaur and so on.

It was fun having him tell us the name of the Dinosaurs as we were going through. We also got to go the the Farm there which for our family we live around most of the stuff there but he did get to ride a pony and yell yeehaw, which he says more like Ni hao probably because he watches that show Ni Hao, Kai-Lan.

For the Last update we went to Bear World. We always have a good time there. I do realize that I didn't take pictures of the bears.

Well I just hope that it warms up here soon. I'm going crazy having to stay in the house and I know my kid is too because he is always trying to run out to play in his sandbox anytime we go anywhere.

Life at the Sheppard's

We have been trying to decided if our kid is a smart or just really weird. I came down stairs and he had piled his toys in this nice little pile. We are use to his piles of toys because he likes them all together, but the way he had this pile stacked was crazy. The jury is still out but thought it was a interesting picture to share.ImageHis modeling career is about to begin. these pictures just make me laugh. The jacket he is wearing is really suppose to be on a bear but he was determined that he was going to wear it. We put it on and here are the pictures we were able to capture. Which is your favorite??

It's about Freaking Time!!!

So I realize it has been over a year since I posted but I decided that I really need to do this. So here we go. Since the last time we have had another birthday for Kota. He is now 2!!! I can't believe it. We wanted to have a fun beach themed party since we built him a sandbox but it rained so we had to have it in the garage. I also forgot to take my own pictures so the pictures our all from my mother-in-law.(Thanks June for being our photographer for the day.)
It was still fun to have everyone over for dinner and cake. Kota loves the sandbox even though he had to wait a few days after his birthday.
I plan on keeping this up but there are no guarantees. So enjoy this one because it may be another year.
