November!

November is a very crazy month for us!!  We had Brooke and Rhead's 4th Birthday!  Then Justin and I celebrated our 8 ANNIVERSARY!  Then we had Thanksgiving!  It was a great month and I can't believe we are already in December!

Our family is sure enjoying our new (rental) home!  We love being close to our cousins and the school!  We ride our bikes EVERY DAY!  Every day!  It is so wonderful.  The kids love it.  I think it is the highlight of their day as we all take Carden to school!  We love to watch Carden go into his class and turn in his folder and put his back pack up!  Brooke and Rhead are really getting ready for school.  They are trying so hard to learn their numbers, letters, and even want to read!  They enjoy reading books at night with Daddy.  They love to help in the kitchen whenever possible!  They sure to love being involved in everything Justin and I do!

Brooke loves the pillow Nana brought her!  She even has been taking naps since it is so comfy and cozy!
Image
Brooke is loving her Primary class.  She enjoys singing and giving the prayers.  Rhead is quite my singer!  He actually knows most of the primary songs and will sing them quietly by himself.  Brooke on the other hand likes to belt the songs at the top of her lungs!
Image
Brooke and Rhead are always willing to serve!  They wanted to walk these cute owl brownies all the way down the street to give to their cousins!  I had to make 70 of these owls for the YW in EXCELLENCE!!!  That is right I am in the YW's!!  I have had about 3 callings in less than 6 months!  I went from RS teacher to YW secretary to now the BEEHIVE adviser!!  I am enjoying my new calling.  I have never been in YW so it is fun and new!
Image
Rhead enjoys playing with his younger cousin MAX!!  He likes to tell him what to do and be the BIGGER COUSIN!  They love to ride around the neighborhood and play in the kitchen.
Image
Brooke REALLY wanted a pinata for her Birthday so we got this BLUE (of course) Car!
Image
The kids enjoyed hitting it!!!  Bashing!!  We had Grandma and Grandpa and the van Beevers over.  Brooke and Rhead wanted IN-N-OUT!  We then came home for pinata and cupcakes!

I enjoy going and working in Carden's classroom.  I know almost all the kids in his class.  Three of them (all boys) live on our STREET!!!  Most of them were on his soccer team!  It is nice being able to feel really close to the kids in his class.

Carden loves school.  He enjoys everything!  He never complains or tattles his teacher said.  He is always kind.  He is alreay doing 1st grade sight words!  This boy has a great MEMORY!  He is even on his last Article of Faith!  He is ready to graduate primary now!!!

Boys were in charge of making turkeys while watching football!!  Justin was in charge!  Luke made about 8 turkeys!!  The other boys all made one!!

The girls stayed at Hayley's house and we did jewelry.  The girls loved it!!

Then we had a game of soccer.  The boys were sure rough. We played boys against girls.  Poor girls were in tears.

General Conference October 2013

Image
We had a great weekend!  Lots of this...especially since we have all been a little sick.
Image
 We held the kittens....
Image
Love to capture the kids sleeping. So quiet and so tender!
Image

The boys already wanted to wear their rocket pjs from Gma and Gpa Litta even though it has still been pretty warm.  Guess the mornings are pretty "COLD"!
Image

Image
McKay loves his KITTY!!!  He helps it eat, drink, and ride a bike!!
Image

Carden makes sure to watch McKay so he won't hurt the kittens.  He always wants to hold all three so that no one will hurt them.  The kittens just love it though!

Image
Poor Brooke has been fevered the last few nights.  But still loves to ride bikes and hold the kitties!
Image
TRADITION!!!  Tradition!!  Got to have crepes for General Conference!!  So we decided to have Family over to enjoy these sweet little treats from Justin!!
Image
These poor kids look out of it!  Coughs, runny noses, but still SMILING and LAUGHING!!
I think the boys out beat the girls on crepe eating. Luke I think one!  Carden came in at FOUR!!

Goodbye Summer 2013

Image
Even though Justin had to work all summer long we did enjoy the evening swims in our little 12ft pool!  The cousins enjoyed coming over and helping us make a nice whirl pool and play some basketball!!
Image
The kids enjoyed making forts after swimming with their towels and eating sandwiches!
Image
McKay enjoys wearing the big kids helmets and walking around with a scooter pretending he is one of the BIG KIDS TOO!!!
Image
Brooke has a hard time putting herself to sleep by herself.  Actually all our kids have a hard time and always just need a Mommy or a Daddy sleeping by them.  But since Brooke didn't have either one of us she got all her toys and her puzzle and placed them around herself for comfort!
Image
This was almost the last night swim and the kids did this pose on their own.  Carden said "Hey lets put our arms around each other!"  Love these moments.
Image
Brooke got a new bike from one of our old friends from Sacramento (actually Visalia) the ROPERS!
They were so sweet to donate this BIGGER bike for her!  She was so excited that she jumped on and started flying down the street even though her seat wasn't screwed in tight!  Brooke even will ride off the curb going full speed!  This girl has guts!  Need to put her in ice skating like her Grandma!!
Image
She is now into wearing BALLET clothes that were from her cousins Asia and Lois!!!  So glad I hung onto them!
Image
Can't believe Summer is OVER!  It was SURE HOT but sure a fun summer being in a new place and making new friends and playing with our cousins almost EVERY DAY!!!  :)

Update on Carden

Image
Carden is enjoying school.  He has been working really hard on his Articles of Faith.  He is now on number 11 and can't wait to finish.  He is talented at memorizing.  His Kindergarten teacher wants all the kids to learn the site words and so we decided to put up flash cards around the house and play "FIND the word...!"  Carden can find them all!  Brooke and Rhead joined in as well and it was cute seeing them try to read the words!  Now we have been trying to spell the site words out on our large white board!
Image
We also decided to do another exercise with his site words and the Articles of Faith.  I had Carden take a marker and mark all the site words in the Articles of Faith.  Then I had him graph out which site word came up the most, which helped him practice some math and graphing!  He loved doing this activity.  Carden is always so willing to learn and try new things which makes it really fun to teach!

Carden enjoys being at school with all his friends from church and his soccer team!  I have already gone in twice to help out and it is fun to see all Carden's friends!  They all seem to know who Carden is!  He is quiet and listens to his teacher very well.  He works well with others and loves being at school and seeing Cohen and Luke after class.  We just got him a bigger bike and he FLIES getting home!  Rhead got Carden's old bike and now can keep up with everyone.

Carden is enjoying soccer.  He has scored several goals which has been fun  (it is 3 on 3 which makes this more possible).  He gets along with his teammates.  He loves to keep track of how many goals everyone makes (Justin says this comes from his side!).  He enjoys reading books with his Daddy at night and is already on JAMES and the GIANT PEACH!
