About the challenge

Machine learning/AI are tools that can be applied to almost every domain, from communications to health. In this hackathon, we want you, the participant, to find unqiue and inspiring ways to leverage machine learning & AI to make projects in these domains, and in doing so, change the world for the better.

What to Submit

Submit a GitHub link containing all files of your project, including a working, running application file. 

In addition, please submit a demo video presenting your project, your motivation, and its applications.

Judging Criteria

  • Bonus Category: Use of Workshops (10%)
    This will evaluate your usage of topics discussed during workshops.
  • Practicality & Impact (25%)
    This will evaluate the impact and applications of your project: how useful is it in the real world? What kind of benefits will it have to society? For whom?
  • Presentation (15%)
    This will evaluate the quality of your video presentation. Were concepts presented in a lay manner? Was the presentation clear, succinct, and informative?
  • Technical Skills (30%)
    This will evaluate the technical aspect of your project. What kind of tools and algorithms did you use for your project? Were they sophisticated to create?
  • Creativity (20%)
    This will evaluate how creative your project is. Is the idea original or unique?
