ORIGAMI STARS

NOVEMBER 24, 2015: I have lots of my mom's piano music.  I've sorted through it, and I had some books that I didn't want for playing.  However they were old. The copyright date on one of the books is 1930.  I decided to turn some of these sheets of music into keepsakes/ornaments for our Christmas tree.  Lindsay taught me how to make these origami stars and we folded a bunch tonight!!  I LOVE THEM!!!!!

WEDDING ROAD TRIP

NOVEMBER 20, 2015: My nephew, Trevor, got married in the Las Vegas temple today.  Tim, Ben, Sam, and I made the trip to join in the festivities.  We drove to St. George on the 19th.  Then we drove to Las Vegas and Boulder City on the 20th.  We drove back to St. George that night, and drove home the next day.

We forgot that Nevada is an hour earlier than Utah.  That was good.  We weren't late!!  We even had time to eat some lunch after we found the temple.

Ben and Sam sat in the waiting room with cousins and Uncle Kent while we attended the temple sealing.  We loved the beautiful courtyard inside the temple waiting room.  We loved sitting out by the water and trees.

The sealing was VERY crowded... standing room only!!  Debbie motioned for me to come and sit by her.  It was the chair that is usually reserved for the groom's grandma.  That was really special to me to be sitting where my mom would have been sitting.  I'm sure she was there.  Just wish I could have seen her.  She LOVES her grand kids so much, and I'm sure that days like today make her very happy!!

We went to Steve's and Debbie's house after the temple.  They had a luncheon for family there.  It was nice to be with family.  After the luncheon we headed to the reception at the golf course club house.  It was a beautiful reception.  Sam and I danced.  Tim and I danced. Ben was too shy to dance.  After dancing and eating and visiting we headed back to St. George.  What a wonderful family day.  I'm so grateful that we came!!

CELLO RECITAL

NOVEMBER 14, 2015: Ben had a cello recital today.  He is really doing well with the cello.  We really love his new teacher, Alicia.  She really connects with Ben.  He is learning a lot.  I love that I can accompany him.  Playing music with my kids is one of my favorite things!! Keep up the good work Ben!!
