Stanley Vint and Malcom Vint

GiGi and Grumpy were able to come for a visit in early October. It was really important to me that I got these pictures of my Grumpy with his namesake!

These are a little old, but they're so dang cute!
I got Marshall to smile like this by saying, "Smile for Nana!" Looks like he had a hug to go with it!
And now I'd like your camera, Mom.

Awwww, how cute is that little imp!
Can you believe it was still warm enough for shorts and a tank top the 22nd of September this year?!?

Its a tough world . . .

Marshall is right at that age where he still needs a nap, but doesn't want one. With a baby around, a nap is not always easy to enforce . . . so sometimes it gets skipped. On this particular day, he just wouldn't nap, so I quit trying about 4:30. At dinner time he was crying in his rice because he didn't want to fall asleep. I let him out of his booster and he started to play with balls on the floor in the kitchen. I noticed he was really quiet, so I went in to check on him and this is what we found . . .

Poor baby! He curled up on the rug under the sink and passed out! Some lessons are learned the hard way.

Baby Blue Eyes . . .

I'm a Butchart, so I was bound to get a blue eyed boy eventually!
Malcom enjoying his favorite part of the day . . . "naked time". He was smiling but he still gets completely thrown off by the flash and back in early October, it was super challenging to get a picture of him grinning!

On the whale quilt Nana made for him. With the cocoa butter I use for EVERYTHING . . .

I love the look on his face in this picture. Its the look he always gives me right before he smiles.

I can play the piano . . . WITH MY FEET!

A pretty typical Marshall photo session . . . .
We have tried and tries to convince him that little boys do NOT belong on top of the piano, but with the piano conveniently located behind the couch and no other spot for it in our house, we've lost that battle. Marshall really enjoys playing it with his feet. ESPECIALLY when baby brother is trying to sleep!

But I am also totally aware that I have Mom's undivided attention!

Impatient Marshall

On 9/17/2010 at 2000 Hrs, I got impatient because dad was getting my pajamas ready. For all my daddy knew I was watching "UP" still. HAHAHAHAHA! I wasn't, I jumped in the tub with my clothes on. What will dad think? HAHAHAHAHAH! Dad came around the corner and found me. He luaghed and told mom to get the camera.

It Turned into a family event after that my brother Malcom came and seen what was going on. He looked a little concerned. Dad got Malcom underessed and put him in the tub with me that was fun.

Here I am again just chillin' in the tub with clothes on.
