Who we are

About us

Molecor South East Asia [Molecor (SEA) Sdn Bhd] was established in 2013 to manufacture and distribute TOM^® PVC-O pipes in Malaysia and currently distributes the largest range of PVC-O pipes and fittings throughout various countries in South East Asia. Our company is promoted and incentivized under East Coast Economic Region (ECER) and fully supported by Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) under the Domestic Investment Strategic Fund (DISF) for high-technology initiatives.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant is located in Kuantan, Pahang, equipped with the production capacity of up to 11,000 metric tonnes per year, producing TOM^® PVC-O pipes ranging from 90 to 630mm for pressure rating of 16 and 25 bar. Our workforce comprises of talented local professionals and technical personnel. We have the best market-leading technical partners in material science and production technology to deliver the highest quality of products to our customers.
The quality of PVC-O pipes is recognized through acceptance and compliance of respective product certifications globally. In Malaysia, TOM^® PVC-O pipes is recognized and listed by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) under the ISO 16422:2014 product standard, SIRIM Eco Label 054 and MyHijau Mark.

What we do

TOM^®PVC-O pipes are manufactured using cutting-edge air molecular orientation technology, developed in Spain, to mechanically transform the amorphous molecular structure of PVC-U into a stratified and homogeneous directional structure throughout the pipe wall, transforming the PVC-U into PVC-O. The mechanical properties of PVC-O pipes are significantly improved through this orientation process. The impact and crack resistance properties of PVC-O are 500% better than the original PVC-U, and the fatigue resistance, strength and E-modulus of the pipe are also dramatically improved.

TOM^® PVC-O pipes have been extensively used in over 30 countries worldwide and it is expected to grow in popularity globally. At the moment, only PVC-O manufactured using Molecor’s patented air-based technology is able to manufacture pipes up to 25 bars pressure rating and a nominal diameter up to 1200 mm. This new manufacturing method has spurred the evolution of PVC-O worldwide and it is expected to see continuous growth of PVC-O usage in the foreseeable future.
