We’ve Got Your Back 2025–26 Fundraising Campaign

Image

When life gets heavy, no one should have to carry it alone. We’ve Got Your Back is MDAM’s message of solidarity and a reminder that support changes everything—especially in the hardest seasons, when anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or grief can make the world feel isolating.

Now kicking off our annual fundraising campaign for 2025-26, We’ve Got Your Back is about making sure people across Manitoba continue to have access to the kind of support that says: you’re not alone, and help is here.

Every day, MDAM offers peer support, programs, and safe spaces where people can be heard without judgment and connect with others who truly understand. For many, that first conversation or group is the moment they realize they’re not broken, not alone, and not out of options.

This campaign invites you to be part of that moment.

Join the Backers Circle

The Backers Circle is our community of monthly donors—people who choose to “walk alongside” others all year long and generally prefer to remain anonymous (hence the reason backs are turned). Monthly giving is one of the strongest ways to sustain MDAM’s programs because it provides steady, reliable funding when and where it’s needed most.

As a Backer, your ongoing support helps keep peer groups running, expands access to recovery-focused programs, and ensures that when someone reaches out, there’s a real person on the other end.

Backers Circle Funding Levels

  • $10/month – The Step-Forward Backer
Helps keep peer support welcoming and accessible for anyone taking their first step toward help.
  • $25/month – The Steady-Shoulder Backer
Supports consistent, low-barrier programs that people can count on week after week.
  • $50/month – The Circle-of-Care Backer
Helps fund facilitated support groups and recovery education across Manitoba.
  • $100/month – The Anchor Backer
Strengthens MDAM’s ability to respond quickly to rising needs, barriers, and waitlists.
  • $250+/month – The Legacy Backer
Provides transformational, long-term stability for MDAM’s services and future growth.

Why your support matters

Mental health challenges don’t just affect one part of life—they ripple through relationships, work, school, and physical health. Too many Manitobans still face barriers like cost, stigma, isolation, and long waits for care. MDAM exists to close those gaps with community-based, peer-driven support that meets people where they are.

What your gift supports

Donations to We’ve Got Your Back help MDAM provide:

  • Peer support groups and one-to-one connection
  • Wellness and recovery-focused programs and workshops
  • Outreach and education that reduces stigma
  • Accessible, low-barrier supports for people across Manitoba

Walk beside someone today

Supporting mental health is supporting people—neighbors, friends, family members, and coworkers—who might be quietly struggling. Your gift is a way of saying:

“You don’t have to do this alone. We’ve got your back.”

Donate today or join the Backers Circle to help ensure support is here, when it’s needed most.

MDAM is pleased to partner with Hilary Druxman Design for an exciting fundraising initiative!

The “Life-Love-Healing” Bracelet and Pendant was inspired by the free-style graffiti sculpture, LifesArt, by artist Reid Bricker. Reid loved to sculpt and his art inspired conversations that encouraged others to see the beauty within their own creativity. Reid believed that Life truly is Art.

100% of the net proceeds from the sale of each handcrafted bracelet and pendant will support men’s depression and youth programming at Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba. The pendant is sterling silver and comes on a 16-18″ chain and is also available as a lapel pin.

Thank you for supporting MDAM!

In person donations can be made at 100-4 Fort Street

A tax receipt will be generated for all donations $10 or above.
