Oh, look, it's been almost a year again.

Hi. 

I see many folks are at dreamwidth now. I made a point of transferring all the Mways journals I had over there, so Mways archivists would have access to them, but that was a while ago. I don't know if Dreamwidth sees LJ entries the way LJ sees Dreamwidth entries.

Anyhoo. Just wanted to say hi and that I'm doing okay. Finally graduated and have a job (woot) and am actually doing that whole adult thing now. It's still a little strange to not have homework.

And like all social things, WoW, too, has drama. This particular bit of drama is kinda bugging me, though. Essentially Officer #1 took his main toon out of our guild to join another guild, but said nothing about this to any of us. Officer #2, who was on hiatus at the time, comes back to find #1's main has left the guild. Assumptions, accusations, and nasty words follow, yada, yada, end result being #1 has removed ALL of his toons from the guild to join other guilds and refuses to have anything to do with #2.

As I said, drama.

Now, usually, I'd be pretty much 'meh' about the whole thing. #1 can be an unsufferable know-it-all due to the fact that he knows the game better than any of us and takes it way too seriously at times. As the rest of us tend to be more casual, it's probably for the best that he's found more active guilds. #2 I like quite well, a real stand up guy, very nice, polite, kind of old fashioned. He does one of those medieval society group things and has been knighted within the group, if that says anything. So really this is a good thing for the guild overall, I'd say. Which is way I'm kinda surprised that I want to keep on poking it, though. I think I know why, however.

See, I'm still on speaking terms with both of them, though neither will speak with the other. As has been the case with my parents and my father's side of the family since I was ten or twelve or so. (Sucks, btw, I don't recommend it at all.) I keep catching myself starting to slip towards that telephone role and having to stop and scold myself. They're big boys. They can figure it out, or never talk to each other again. Not really my concern. ...though if peace ever does come, I strongly suspect it'll have to be from #2's end as he's already kinda over it and #1 is still as mad as a hornet's nest. Which I want to tell #2, but dammit, I'm not playing go between. It sucked doing it for my family, I'm sure as hell not going to do it for people I only know over the internet.

I guess it's just frustrating seeing this happen again. Ugh, I hate drama.

But I hadn't actually been on here for a while. I was looking for something. A couple things, actually, and, well, it's so damned easy for me to get distracted.

I'm glad to see Mways is still going strong, at least.

I don't have much to say right now. Except that I truly would like to start posting again. I have all the intentions of doing such, just...that distraction thing again. So many other things to keep up with and stay on top of and just simply do.

So if I manage to poke my nose in here again fairly soon after this post, maybe I'll keep doing so and I can start posting actual entries again instead of automatic Twitter updates. Which seem to have failed sometime in May. Hrm.
